hey guys

i hv n going through cold start problem with my skyline gtt..the car doesnt want to start when the engine is dead cold..its got an aftermarket microtech ecu...and i must say cold start problem appeared after the ecu was installed..wht do u guys think abt tht..is tht a wiring problem?..or battery..?

Engines require more fuel when cold, and even more again while cranking. If the problem appeared after installing the microtech, take it back to the installer/tuner and get them to fix it.

Or go back the the standard ECU and all problems will be fixed.

yeah it's pretty much certainly going to be due to the tune on the ecu.

yea mate..my mechanic said..microtech computer is made for racing purpose..as they r trying to use it in my car for street purpose..and it doesnt hv tht feature..so cold start problem will remain there...wht do u think abt tht?..in dead-cold situation they asked me press the accelerator paddle while cranking..is it safe?..ur opinions will be appreciated..thnx guys

i dnt thnk it wnt cse ny prblms by hldn dwn the acclrtr whle strtng the engne

if ur mchnc cn tne the engn prprly u wnt hv any prblms strtng it cld, plnty of ppl runng microtechs fne bt it csts lts to hv it dne rght.
