Toy Electric Ride On Cars?

This is going to sound stupid... but this is not something new for me.

Everyone knows those cars that ya get for your kids (or bikes) that have the little electric motors and 6V batteries... someone told me recently you can mod them to make them go faster simply by adding another battery to them?

My son got a Wiggles Big Red Car ride on which has a remote that i can use to control the car... he also has a massive ride on trike which happens to have the same 6V battery in it, so i wanted to know what you have to do to do this mod?

Anyone have any clue?

Howabout going really psycho with it and fit a 12 volt washing machine motor.? It would spin those plastic tyres and lay some crazy drift action with a smiling toddler behind the wheel

All you do is add the second battery in series, not parallel.

Depending on the motor it may not last long.

hahaha seems very tim the toolman taylor... i could just see my 2 year old flying down the road into a parked car.

i think its bad enough im making him a go kart using the spare lawn mower engine i have.
