Hi,

Does anyone have any FIRST HAND experience with the 'Tune Agent' stainless turbo manifolds? Are they any good or are they simply cheap Chinese manifolds which have been re-branded.

Please no "Don't buy Chinese shit" or "Just buy a6boost manifold" comments, thanks.

Cheers

Chris!

I had a "Tune Agent" manifold on my very first setup. As china manifolds go it was a nice one. I think even GCG sold them at one stage.

Made a very tough sounding exhaust note :D

However i only had it on the engine for a short time before i changed to a 6BOOST. I only changed because i had the engine out.

Do you have a link to where you are buying it from?

Thanks NYTSKY, exactly the info I was looking for.

I have only just had a look at their website; http://www.tuneagent.com.au/public/merchan...egory.aspx?id=2

It will certainly be an option for me if people have had positive experiences with them

Design is average - have a look @ the collector & merge area how the pipes feed in.

There is also no mention of the grade/thickness of the pipe either which means heat + time = cracks.

Has all the hallmarks of chinese manifolds, i mean for $400, do you think you are getting anything else?

What is the setup you are after a manifold for?

What is the reason you need a manifold?

The issue i see is this...

You will be hard pressed to find a lot of people with actual experience - why? - because not many people would buy something like that knowing what issues lie with cheap manifolds.

I would take a bet that Dave had the manifold on there for less than 12 months and not many km's, not showing any flaws.

Note: I'm not saying it would have failed, there is some reasonably good stuff out of China.

But you gotta ask yourself. Spend $400 and it cracks, then its cost you double as you'll buy something better next time plus the time/labour/effort of fixing.

You'd be better off finding a 2nd hand manifold of decent quality for around $700, least you know you won't have the risk of having to replace and pull it off.
