not to mention the whirr/whine noise that seems to accompany a lot of them (diff/gearbox noise i believe?).

you mean straight cut gears? lol.

wrx's are different over there to what they are here. they definitely go a bit quicker

WRXs are very popular in NZ. You'd need 300awkw to stay with a WRX Sti. They pass me all the time at the track with my 245kw. As for cornering even a mid range WRX will leave a Stagea for dead.

I like Stageas because of the way they look and because it is a really handy vehicle with great features. By the time I have spent about $15,000 on it I will be able to keep up with the faster WRXs!

speaking of which, my cousin's wrx not long ago, spat his front drive shafts into his tyres lol.
