Loved the story about the ducks Jamie!

except for 3 things...

1) you didn't go back to check on their injuries?

2) you didn't hide the evidence to reduce complaints from the local farmer making his roll call?

3) you didn't do what my ancestors would have done - to cook them > make the skin crispy Peking-style?

LOL + Welcome to SAU!

Thanks for all the pics guys (+ your comments Tim, Raf)...

Silly goose!

But I have a better way of getting my battery flat. My alarms keypad flashing =[ If I don't start her for a week she's dead!

That would have been me and the purple S15.

Both of out cars run on E85 and neither had enough to do the round trip. Was good to finally open it up :)

yeah went back up the road to do U turn missed 3 of those X emergency vehicle only u turn things, some rav 4 was sitting on my arse at 100k's tried to slow down and he nearly got me, he slammed on his brakes but i got round and headed back, me the idiot turned onto Mt keira road, instead of going all the way to the end of picton rd, so i ended up just driving down that way, got out at 1:15 checked my phone i was still like 25 mins away from meet spot, so i just headed back home my own fault in the end, but first half of the day was great, finally got to eat something at holsworthy, i was buggered and my little boy kept falling asleep but he kept asking "where did all the super fast cars go?" so seems as though he enjoyed himself too.

and my damn windows wont go down anymore .

at that traffic right at the start god damn, it was that slow my speedometer didn't have a number to point at, it was a nice sight to see you all waiting for everyone on the other side though.

again a good day, thanks for being so welcoming, and im quite happy i now have some photos of my car not taken by me :D:D:D:D:D:D

I had no idea that he had his lights on also, if i had saw that they where on i would have said something and yes thank you very much to the block that lent me his jumper leads mine would have been a bitch to clutch start with the immobiliser but than again the bloke that lent me the cables he had left his lights on also lol

Lol I was the only R31, represent! :)

Well done to Gemma for organising the cruise, it was massive! So many cars turned up. Good to see some non-skylines turn up as well.

Yeah I did go back up the mountain, needed a proper hit hahah, well it was only for a short while oh well.

Lemme resize the photos, then I'll upload them. Don't think anyone would want the originals but I'll keep them anyway.

*edit*

Holy over-exposure!

I'll fix them up later

Wish I was there when those cows where crossing the road.. Scared heaps of them.

There was a few cars that saw me scare a few cows and horses in some of the farms..

Haha yes that was hilarious!! Loved watching the cows do their slow motion sprint :)

    • Update: I got the magnet out. I bought 3 different flexible magnetic reach tools, but none of them worked. The magnet on the tip was all less than 2lbs of force, so i had to buy a special cylindrical magnet that had a pull force of 9lbs.  The magnet finally came in the mail yesterday, so i got under the car to get to work. The super strong magnet isn't that long, so i only have about 1 finger pinch lengths to hold it. I was so scared when i was going in the hole, that the 9lb magnet would just fly away inside the oil pan never to be seen again, but i had my butt cheeks clenched and finger gripped on that thing so tight, i managed to get it to suck the other magnet out.  It was a victory for me last night.
    • Yep, pretty much what you said is a good summary. The aftermarket thing just attached to the rim, then has two lines out to valve stems, one to inner wheel, one to outer wheel. Some of the systems even start to air up as you head towards highway speed. IE, you're in the logging tracks, then as speeds increase it knows you're on tarmac and airs up so the driver doesn't even have to remember. I bet the ones that need driver intervention to air up end up seeing a lot more tyre wear from "forest pressures" in use on the highway!
    • Yes, but you need to do these type certifications for tuning parts. That is the absurd part here. Meaning tuning parts are very costly (generally speaking) as well as the technical test documentation for say a turbo swap with more power. It just makes modifying everything crazy expensive and complicated. That bracket has been lost in translation many years ago I assume, it was not there.
    • Hahaha, yeah.... not what you'd call a tamper-proof design.... but yes, with the truck setup, the lines are always connected, but typically they sit just inside the plane of the rear metal mudguards, so if you clear the guards you clear the lines as well. Not rogue 4WD tracks with tree branches and bushes everywhere, ready to hook-up an air hose. You can do it externally like a mod, but dedicated setups air-pressurize the undriven hubs, and on driven axles you can do the same thing, or pressurize the axles (lots of designs out there for this idea)... https://www.trtaustralia.com.au/traction-air-cti-system/  for example.... ..the trouble I've got here... wrt the bimmer ad... is the last bit...they don't want to show it spinning, do they.... give all the illusion that things are moving...but no...and what the hell tyre profile is that?...25??? ...far kernel, rims would be dead inside 10klms on most roads around here.... 😃
    • You're just describing how type certification works. Personally I would be shocked to discover that catalytic converter is not in the stock mounting position. Is there a bracket on the transfer case holding the catalytic converter and front pipe together? If so, it should be in stock position.
