Okay,

I've been looking for a few solid months and I can't find jack in NSW.

What I'm looking for:

A clean, near to stock, 4-door R34 GT-T that's P-plate friendly for the duration of my P-plate license (a year and a half).

What I can't find in this state for a reasonable price:

So.

My question to you Skyline fanatics is, what should I get until I can buy turbo?

Should I even do this?

Something that will hold it's value, something cheap and nasty even, fire me some suggestions!

Maybe an old pre-90's Skyline lol, what's the maintenance costs like on those bad boys?

What do you guys reckon?

Many thanks,

Ding

Im looking to sell my 34 N/A....just about to get off my P's....2 door coupe, auto, well maintained.

otherwise find a shitbox and save for a nice turbo when you get your full licence.

VS-VT commodore, cheap, you can destroy it and parts are a dime a dozen and no cop attention. Another advantage with say a VT commodore is you can have traction control, ABS and airbags some things that the R31's just dont have and they will also look after you better in a crash.

i was in ur position and iv just bought a r31 and driving that for another 2 years till i get on my fulls then im jumping on a r33 gtr or gtst. not worth blowing your money on a non turbo and then after getting a real shit resale value

Alright.

The tribe has spoken, and their words ring with truth.

I'm gonna get something else for now and then get that R34 GTT 4 door /cream.

Thanks guys.

lol, I'm looking at a Cressida, don't wanna spend much.

most people thrash and or crash their first cars... its just a fact... no one is a good driver instantly

get something that you dont mind killing :P

Maybe better of with something like this if you want a bigger car for the moment.

1998 vt Berlina on GAS, Less kms then most Cressida's, around 10 years newer, Alot safer e.g. Air Bag( don't wanna sound like a parent lol), cheap to run, easy parts cause they are everywhere. Just any idea tahts all..
