Suddenly i wont be eventing a nissan next year, so must sell some wheels and brakes. 1 pr. Skyline R33 four piston alloy front calipers, with lines attached that connect to S13 system. As new Ferodo Formula Ultra-high performance pads (been very good at Barbagello and Collie sprints, but only done a couple) and work well on street. $500. or offers.

Wheels are WORKS 16in. diam, 2 X 8in with +35 offset, 2X 7in with +35 offset. Have POTENZA 225/50 RE540S tyres done about four events and maybe 1000 road K's, lots of life yet! These are the official (only) tyre for streetcars at Barbagello. $1000 will buy wheels and tyres. Merry Xmas.

Wheels are drilled to four AND five stud (weird but true) Never put them on a R33 but assume that must be the five pattern, cos four pattern fits S13. Brakes are just calipers, dont come with discs but my 1991 S13 180 SX already had same size discs as R33T skyline even when it had floater calipers. Have started crash course in posting pics, will post as soon as this evil electric demon lets me.

Pics of wheels please:

    • I definitely agree with you there - I never click on content for cars I would never ever be able to get or compete with/against/be seen next to. Seeing a MX5 compete with a FD RX7 will make people upset though, for sure. Even in 2.5L Turbo form which is pretty grass roots. (or at least as grass roots as classic cars can be) Yes we're all classic car owners now.
    • Wonder what the cause is, but here's hoping it's nothing too serious.
    • People don't always want builds that are overly expensive, or have engineering/registration/insurance issues and head aches that come with them Whilst big dollar builds, and complicated stuff is interesting to watch, there is only a tiny % of people who would actually use this information, or have the spare finances to drop on said builds, whereas the buy a cheap(ish) cool car, and make it better, with a average budget, that the average Joe or Jane could achieve will always be a winner in my opinion
    • Bit of a thread revival, you mentioned wanting a bit more top end before, do you regret not going with the 1.01?
    • It's kind of interesting - They definitely do builds that split the difference between what they like and what will generate views and engagement. The NC Platform always surprises everyone in a good way, in an uncomfortably good way some may say. They could throw a LS in there and arguably have the best (and best performing) car of the entire stable. But that isn't necessarily what draws views, because people viewing don't want to accept the vegetables of a LS NC MX5 being a superior vehicle in every way (including fun) than a RB26 240Z. This is also why there's not a lot of content about the GR Yaris (on the web in general). They're too good, yet 'only a Yaris' The community doesn't want certain cars to be as good as they are - to beat their hero cars, and I believe the NC MX5 is absolutely one of those cars.
