Speakers To Fit Custom Rear Pacel Shelf In R33 Gts-t

Hey there guys,

Thinking of possibly undertaking a project of creating my own rear parcel shelf and add speakers such as 6x9's. (Not a fan of subs at all, enjoy boot space.

Was just wondering do you think I can fit 8 inch mid bass speakers at the back such as the JL Audio, ZR800-CW?

Take the parcel shelf out and take some measurements. Id say they would fit as the cut outs in the metal parcel shelf and fairly big.

tried this before with a mates car, we pulled out his old parcel shelf, remade a new one out of 10mm MDF and added some 16mm spacers, and stretched vinyl over the whole lot. ended up being a fail, looked fairly shit, and the speakers never sounded that good, being that you could only get the two front screws in.

probably easier to get some decent 6" coaxials and try amplifying your front and rear to get some midbass going....
