ok, bought a new starter motor today.

installed it.

waited for the sound of my engine. no dice

not happy

Everything is installed correct.

Getting power to the solenoid, but no power after.

anyone......

i cant stay home with my parents a minute longer!!!!!!!!!!!

long shot with all the metal to metal contact,.... bad earth

or could be a problem with the starter circuit, try a direct connection to battery and see if it rolls over in car, as a few people have reported starter circuit problems before and installed a relay, as the solenoid was drawing too much current.

Yeah the 'relay' is the solenoid in the starter motor itself; starter circuit just handles power to the solenoid. One lead on the starter should have power all the time iirc so just try the screwdriver-across-the-terminals trick (just don't get the wrong one) with ignition on, does it crank?
