so last night took my car for a cruise & my rb25det started blowing a shit load of smoke out the exhaust

so i pulled up popped the bonnet & there was oil sprayed up on the bonnet & over the engine but i couldn't find where it was coming from

could the shit load of smoke be the turbo seal shit it self or something? its pretty much only after the turbo starts boosting up then i let my foot of the gas....

any info will help before i start stripping her down....

cheers guy luke

As has been said dont be pulling the head til you have checked the turbo....

Maybe an oil feed to it...

and again what colour was the smoke was it cloudy or was it blue or blue?

No-one has filled ur engine to high with oil have they??? :) cheeky buggers

Before stripping everything down, check compression on the engine to eliminate piston problems. Easy to do and no gaskets needed.

We all know how comman piston dramas are.....

Possibly h/g have you checked oil in your water or water in your oil ie in the filler neck...

yeah mate there is nothing at all like that... if the head gasget was gone is it true most of the time oils in the water & water in the oil???

Not always as it sometimes doesnt mix at all...get the water checked for gas (i forgot ther name of the machine they use) but basically they check for exhaust gasses/carbon coming thru your water via header tank/filler neck that will be a dead cert to see if head has gone...
