Help Me Choose A New Daily

Hi Guys,

I need help choosing a new daily car.

It needs to be cheap to buy, maintain, insure etc etc.

Im only going to own it for 6-9 months while i save for my R34 GTR.

So throw in any ideas you might have

Get an excel cheap and nasty but i had one i couldnt kill, 40,000km service intervals FTW

Hyundai Excel!

You'll have spare for insurance etc if you get that. Cheap to run and quite reliable too. I've got 3 uni friends that got them and not much problem selling too (they probably made a loss of 100-300 after using it for 2yrs).

honda CRX with vtec preferably

nissan bluebird with the KA24DE

camry (is 'camries' the plural version?)

but as zennon alluded to there are plenty at carsales.

excels are hard to kill too 4 some reason

they are reliable becasue they are so basic! its very easy to fix stuff yourself if it doeas break too

my cousin bought one for 1500 bucks about 10 months ago, runs to redline all day everyday, he's crashed it twice and it still goes fine.. cheap as chips to run.

edit just saw your budget is 6k..

go for a ae101 toyota levin.. 120kw's, 180torques.. will redline to 8400rpm all day everyday...

excel... cheap, easy, about a million of them to choose from, pretty user friendly, easy to fix if broken, did i mention cheap...

also, something no one has pointed out yet... when you buy and excel you will be even more motivated to save faster to get the R34 cause you will be embarrassed...

Thanks for the suggestions guys, really dont want an excel though.

My concern with the excel is that I will f**king die if i have a crash.

Just found out that i can pay an extra $1000.00 to insure my mums Audi TT with Just Car which means ill be able to drive it until I get the GTR.

Think thats the way ill go. All its gonna cost me is a $1,000 (cause ill only need 1 year to save the money) + fuel

When I had my other skyline I brought the 34 (non turbo, auto at the time) to be my daily but I couldn't help myself converting it ... So definantly get something you don't want to do up lol
