Recommended Posts

Still abit of uncertainty as to if this day is going ahead, looks like around 25/45 have paid.

hope it goes ahead, i didnt buy a fancy helmet for nothing!!! :)

Adam is on holidays atm. People are wondering if this is going ahead or not. Will keep you posted. Hopefully it does though but at this stage we don't know.

Bad news guys... Track Day has been cancelled! Too many have pulled out!

For refunds contact Adam via email would probabaly be the best bet.

I cant believe this shit.

To the people who wanted to know my whereabouts, why my phone has been off and where the reciepts are and the money they want refunded:

Ive been up the coast for over a week, at a freinds house on an island just off palm beach, where the reception is so poor nobody had their phones on, i only just got back and as of know my phone is still not on.

Excuse me for having organised a holiday a year in advance, planned the payments of the track day to be in well before id left so this type of "he's stolen our money" crap never happened, and been let down by 95% of the people who were "in".

I can understand people being upset that i hadnt given notice i was away for the week. To be completely honest im beyond caring. With the amount of people who want a refund already, i will be cancelling on monday.

I will be CANCELLING the track day on monday.

REFUNDS will all be happening on monday.

I will not be organising any other events in future.

Unfortunately, according to the papers i signed it seems i still get to pay the whole hiring fee anyways. I will call wakefield on monday and hopefully can work something out, if not what an expensive mistake this was to make.

To all who were supportive and done the right thing by me, i am sincerely sorry, its extremely dissappointing for me too.

    • Why's that depressing, wouldn't it be able to go indefinitely until the battery gets old and craps itself? If it's constantly on charge/maintaining charge, won't that keep the battery healthy?
    • One of my concerns initially was if something catches fire somehow.
    • I think I know what you mean. I saw the same thing a while back, I think either the images on the website were wrong or the model was slightly updated. It was weird when I first looked at it, same model but different looking unit.
    • At work we've got a smaller version of the Projecta that Duncan posted above. At home, I have an ALDI trickle charger. Ive had it for about 8 years now. Only issue with it, it's a smart charger, so if the battery is dead, it won't bring it up, but I have a variable power supply that I limit current on, and set to a max of 14.4v. once it starts charging up, I put the aldi unit on and remove the variable PSU. ALDI one will do 12v, or 6v, then has mode for "car" "motorbike", and "snow". With car or motorbike more for its internal workings, and snow is the trickle mode. I have a battery in the garage that lives on this charger for about the last 18 months now on Snow mode. When I need to charge my other batteries (eg, ones that have died in a car), I get them started and then run it on car mode. Voltage is always sitting really nice, and hasn't killed a battery yet. that charger isn't good for things like Lithium batteries etc, I'd only use it on Lead Acid.
