I had 255rwkw with stock injectors fuel pump and turbos before upgrading. The tuner advised at that point that my AFM were maxed out but the injectors were fine. I only just upgraded to nismo 600cc so if you're after some R34 gtr injectors I've a set for sale so PM me if you're interested mate...

Doesnt sound right... anyway nothing is the same when you're comparing old cars.

Just to give TS an idea, I know someone on the forum with another 33 N1 that has 330rwkw with close to 98% injector duty cycle and the only mod he's done are ecu, avcr, catback and cat (not 100% sure about cat but should be right). The only difference between N1s and standard gtrs are the engine, oil cooler, oil pump, water pump and no a/c. The other features doesnt really affect your power as much anyway (kelvar front diffuser etc).

Having said that, thats with an aggressive tune according to him and mine's running a safe tune with 255awkw at less than 90% duty cycle.

Hey mate just wondering what doesn't sound right? The maxed out AFMs at 255rwkw? It was Dr Drift who did that original tune and who provided that advice.

Yes, they should not be any where near maxing out at 255kW.

+1. Never heard of anyone maxing out stock afm around 300awkw. Stock items should be sufficient for that but I must agree, injectors, fpr and fuel pump are very nice to have items to archieve that. Maybe check if the afm you have now are clean and in sound condition.

I think the difference between them are side and top feed + low impedance (gtr).

Ok doing some research found a old topic (search feature didn't work found through google.)

In all gtr injectors fit but u need the resistor pack and u gotta do some soldering

but i dont think that hassle is worth it coz if u get different injectors later on taking off the resistor pack again will be draining... but i dunno if you will need to meh...

Check out my thread for info on how to fit the resistor pack. A bit simpler than ripping apart the whole loom.

Meh, higher than 85% is ok if they are in good nick.

You'll end up leaning out, if you want to blow your engine run your injectors at 90% duty cycle + for a small period of time and watch what happens :(

The injectors go static and your fuel delivery goes out the window, you'll end up with a blown head.

A tuner shouldn't be tuning your injectors to run close to 100%, if he is, then he is a moron and just wants you back into the shop so he can rebuild your engine and get some extra cash

I don't really reccomend the resistor packs, they are usually dodgy, spend the extra and get a FJO Injector Driver and it will work properly.

I already know of someone who ran Targa with 98% (max) a couple of times.
