Hmm, I'm not really sure where the actual sensor is but in general they dont mount it right on the bumper. Also, I dont think even if you hit it with your hand or anything like that that it would bust out your airbags. From what I remember it takes a multitude of things to trigger off the release of the airbag (deceleration, sensors, etc). That's just a general car comment though.. have no idea about the skyline.

The sensors aren't in the front of the car, so you'll be safe pulling the front bar off etc..

The sensors (G force sensors) are located under the centre console. If you take your centre console out you'll see a little metal box with some sort of warning on it.

Just don't hit the sensor with a hammer :D

as we are talking airbags, can someone tell me how to stop the air bag light from flashing consistently. it has happened ever since my battery died and the car wasnt driven since. btw i have read a thread on how to remove it but it doesnt work. any other ideas.

I know this sounds wierd, but apparently it works...

To stop the air bag light from flashing you press the drivers door light switch (the switch on the door that turns on the interior light) five times within ten seconds of turning the ignition on.

I haven't done it myself, but there's a thread somewhere on it.
