hey,

when i turn my sounds system on, whilst the car isnt on its all fine and sounds fine. but soon as i turn on the car even into acc mode, it starts to make a buzzing humming noise, i start the car and it still makes the noise, i rev the car abit and the noise gets louder, then drops back down with the revs...

i was woundering if anyone knows what this could be and how i could go at fixing it, really annoying lol...

It could be a lot of things, so to cut to the chase, read this

Ten commandments of noise

is a whine, or static noise ?

static is plugs , coils arcing to ground most of the time

whine, is normally a ground loop, RCA shield stuffed, wire to the wrong power source, or some other accessory causing issues, fan etc.

does it have amps ? or just a deck ? does the noise come from all speakers ?

does it do it on the radio and CD ? if just the radio look to see if the antenna is grounded and tight, or plugged in fully ?

clean the terminals on the battery and make sure its tight. ground to the alternators frame mounting bolt back to the battery ground will help noise and current surge issues ?

a powerline noise filter is a bandaid , and wont solve the actual problem correctly.

its like a buzzing fuzzy noise, yes i have 1 amp, and i run a incar computer, it comes from only the front tweeters, and it happens ALL the time the car is on and the system is turned on.

if you can help it would be much apricated. If not it looks like its going to a shop to fix.

first guess, in car computer power supply is producing voltage "ripple" find a oscilloscope to test it

or the RCA wires are run too close to a coil of wire(power supply, high power source, low quality voltage converter or RCA with broken shield picking up RFI

Tweeter on a amp or deck powered ? try a new RCA RUN OUTSIDE the car to the tweeter amp, does it still do it ?

tweeter speaker wires touching metal ???

the tweeters plug into the back of the speaker at the front, i have 1 amp to power everything...

when iget home ill try a new RCA cable outside the car and ill take all the power wires away from the others... see what happens

ill let you know once ive had an update :(
