More Cam Duration On Exhaust Than Inlet.

Just a question about cam duration, at what point do you benifet from running more duration on the exhaust cam than the inlet cam.

I have HKS 264 in and ex with 8.53 lift. What would happen if a 272 duration cam was fitted to the exhaust side? what is the correct torque

for the cam cap bolts?

we quite often run a 272 on the exhuast side of our sr's its not a bad balance as it just extends the top end, depends on turbo selection also.

yeah i have that now, so not what i want. was just wanting to know what benefits you get from having a bigger ex cam.

from what i know (general knowledge) a smaller duration intake cam will result in faster spool, so basically running say the 272 exhaust cam and a 264 intake, your low end spool characteristics will resemble that of the 264 combo whilst your top end power will resemble that of the 272 combo.. or there abouts in a roundabout way..

as for specific to RB i have NO idea and am keen to learn
