Hi folks, have had this turbo sitting around for about 6 months as i was planning on getting a new centre ball bearing, water cooled cartridge for it from a turbo rebuilder in Sydney. The aim was to see if there really is any difference between plain bearing and ball bearing.

But, interest and funds and other things in life are such that when my POS gets back on the road i couldnt be bothered with this sort of trial and error at my own expense anymore. SO up for sale is my spare TD06L2-20G. It runs an 8cm housing. It is used but wheels are fine and no abnormal shaft movement or play.

A word of warning, i bought this off yahoo auctions where it was a sold as a used runner, but being used and something i have not trialled myself, be prepared to perhaps get it rebuilt ($400-500) I dont expect this to be the case, but i cant personally vouch for something i have not run.

Asking $1350. If you are interested in a bolt on setup can do it with my used Greddy manifold and gate, with some cooler pipes and lines for $2500

The manifold and gate, dump pipe, oil supply and return are finally off the car so is now a complete kit. Previous buyer seems to have lost patience with me (completely understandable considering how long it tool to get off my car) so now taking new offers

So asking $2k for the following:

- TD06SL2-20G with 8 cm housing pictured above

- Used Greddy RB20/25 SS tubular manifold

- Used Greddy Type R Wastgeate with 8psi spring

- Supply oil line and return line. Both braided PTFE with the return line covered in high temp silicon sheathing ($80 alone for sheathing)

- Turbo to cat "3 Dump Pipe (mild steel) May or may not still be fibreglass wrapped

- 3" Straight thru pipe in 3" cat (track only)

- Turbo to inner guard cooler pipe

Ideally looking for pick up from Bayswater...most the parts you need for a bolt on kit, will just need to play with your Filter to turbo piping and maybe modify your turbo to cooler pipe.

If anyone wants everything minus the manifold so that they can use an ebay, 6boost, ETM manifold on their RB/SR etc then wipe of $500 from my asking price, thogh not sure what good the dump pipe will be to you ... ideally this will go to an RB25 or RB20 owner.

OK, am now back in Australia and as per above have :

- TD06SL2-20G with 8 cm housing pictured above

- Used Greddy RB20/25 SS tubular manifold

- Used Greddy Type R Wastgeate with 8psi spring

- Supply oil line and return line. Both braided PTFE with the return line covered in high temp silicon sheathing ($80 alone for sheathing)

- Turbo to cat "3 Dump Pipe (mild steel) May or may not still be fibreglass wrapped

Need it gone and only asking 2k if you are in Melb. If you require delivery interstate then may be able to help out with delivery

The 2k asking price is for only those in Melb who can save me the pain (and themselves) of packing all this stuff up and the cost of posting.

Those PMing me with where it comes on boost etc. Forgetting dyno sheets it hits and pulls hard from 4,500rpm....it hits 19 or so psi several hundred rpm before that, but its not until about 4,500rpm when the engine gets into its stride,

Some videos to give you an idea of the performance at the track at noise and also on a skidpan where you can where it alls off boost / comes on to boost etc

Bump, was holding the kit for a guy and had a second party waiting on his decision...seems I shot myself in the foot with 2 weeks passing and both parties now walking away from the table. So this time round, no holding for people or stalling other interested parties because we are chatting via PM. First person fronting the money will get the kit

No longer for sale. The setup now has a happy new home...the one make series is growing and now has 3 x TD06 powered R32 GTSts ! :P

Still have the near new Greddy type R gate that was going to be used with the 25G... $500 woudl be nice but will take 450 and its yours :)http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Td...html&hl=25G

    • Sadly I can confirm if you are actually seeking to drift, you will quite easily spin up one wheel. Even if you're going in a straight line. I am not entirely sure of the metrics/terminology here but there's only a certain amount that the helical will actually spin both wheels. I've seen it on video with my own car where two lines of smoke switch over to just one after you really get in to it. Unlike with a clutch diff where you can keep your foot planted until the car regains grip, in my experience with the helical you want to be utilizing traction control allowing LIMITED slip or lifting (partially) when you start to spin up both tyres with a Nissan helical. Which makes them pretty sub optimal for drifting duty. That said... this is probably a helical on numbers alone. Just put the Kazz in
    • Let's just fix the problem by f**king the rest of the gearbox.
    • Unlikely, as per Greg's post. This is not helical diff behaviour unless one wheel is up off the ground. Shimming what? You don't "shim" a mechanical LSD. Probably not in the sense that you have heard of people "shimming" a diff. And the process that Nissan f**kwits call "shimming" a diff involves super-preloading a VLSD cartridge against the side of the diff to create a friction/wear point (in a place that it wasn't supposed to have one) to make the sloppy, useless, viscous diff into a hybrid viscous/mech abortion. In case it isn't clear, I consider the process to be stupid. Nike.
    • How much does the shifter move when the car is in gear with the engine off? If it is more than about 1cm you need to replace your shifter bush. Your shifts will just get crunchier, not faster, with a short shifter unless you also rebuild the whole box
    • I should video mine, will prob do it tomorrow    Between 1st and 3rd, you could fit another two gears. That is how loose and wobbly it is   horrible:(
