I used to chat there all the time, but I came to the realistion, almost every post was a bitch fight. I love my skyline, I wish it had .6 more capactiy with 4WD and a second turbo but its still the shape I love. I rarely see an R32 on the road most days.

I do see alot of R33's around, but thats ok. Obviously people like them, but that was one of the major reasons for going for a 32, less around and the shape is better in my opinion.

I wouldn't worry about replying on fast fours, skylines may be the topic for the moment, but it will change very soon.

(I would be pissed too if someone just cut me off and didn't respond in any way either)

it's posts like in the fast 4 forum, that make you smile & laugh just pure gold.

with any public forum some person got home after having a event happen on the road & vented, now if car had of been a VW he still would have vented & then you have the sheep that go along for the ride.

bottom line i don't car what people drive so long as it makes them happy & people that drive like idiots will do so in any type of car (i could jump on the band wagon & tell you what type of driver is more likely to do this but, i don't need to it's common fact)

just cause people r p plate drivers that own gtsts dosent mean they thinks skylines r smokers thats y i have a vk commodore runabout i have hell respect 4 nissans and skylines and i have and will never smoke my skyline cause i worked my ass of to get mine been a aprentice chef its not easy keepin one in ur driveway espesialy when ur victimised cause majourity of p platers ar nobs that want to kill themself but that still dosent mean all p plate skyline owners thrash the **** outa their skylines

it can be anybody believe me, i was on my ZZR1100 xmas day & 2 middle aged women cut me off so bad that i had to take major action, lucky for me there was driveway to use instead of rear of her car. the reason people do this is because our road rules say if you hit car in arse it's your fault so they will cut you off & if you hit them then you pay unless you have some major witness.

because there were lights further down road i stoped beside these women & asked wtf & did you see what i had to do so you didn't kill me & i got the bird (next part is sensored due to my actions). they were very lucky it wasn't my riding buddy because he would have just jumped head first (helmet on) through there windscreen & said "is this what you wanted".

Guys, don't generalise that everyone on FFF owns a "excel" or drives mums car.

Only a small majority of people in that thread have said something anti-skylines, the rest are either:

a) Pointing out facts

B) Chatting about stuff un-related

c) Respecting skylines

As a non-skyline owner, I can tell you that there are a lot of idiots out there owning them. I do a fair amount of KM's in my bluebird, and lots of cruising in the common spots. I have seen people doing lots of stupid shit in their GTS-Ts (never GTRs, thank god). It's about the same ratios as bogans in their commodores though, so I never take concern by it.. It's a big generalisation I know, but it's becoming a fact that there are a lot of 17-18 year old idiots in skylines. Nothing you can do about it unfortunately. ;)

You are right in general though, I bet half the people there would take a GTS-T if offered one, but I guess people prefer to give a car shit.

Anyways, just my 2cents trying to keep "some" respect for the Fast Fours Forum.

After all, you guys are talking about them generalising, yet then you go and generlise the whole FFF saying they drive their mums cars :) Your right though, there defintely is a higher majority :(

TommO.

Word to what Tommo just stated in his post!

Im the one that started that thread on the Fast Forums, as something i have been observing lately as the abundance of GTS-T owners is ever increasing, aswell as some of the stupid antics and egotistical driving that has resulted from these mostly younger drivers.

Don't get me wrong here, i have the upmost respect for GTR's and some of the more worked skylines getting around and am pretty much in awe with some of the cars Exvitermini (spelling?) produces.

My thread vented my anger and fustration i have experienced with some skyline drivers and other forumers posted their opinions and experiences.

There is no need to start threatening physical violence against one another as that is contradictory to what the car modding scene and Australia is all about. If thats your view than your as bad as the drivers which triggered my thread.

Cheers,

Lah

WHO CARES WHAT ANYONE THINKS. I thought we drove Skylines because 'we' enjoy them, not because of what people will think of us.

Lah- You need to chill out. The Skyline driver in question may not have seen your little car.I bet you have done the same thing to someone else and couldn't see them past your monster tacho with your seat laid back so far.

:slap:

Apology accepted. :shake:

Guess the shitfights about to start so betta warn every1 that if it goes down that path the thread will be closed.

The reasoning behind this swooping statement is very similar to your reasoning about P Plate GTSt drivers. I happen to be a P Plater with a GTS (not a T, well soon, but I digress) and when I drive I may do some antics, but never when I'm in a position to harm someone else's car. It cheeses me off being put in a category with a few kids that have bought a skyline solely for the purpose of ripping burnouts.

You also have to understand that members of this forum are enthusisasts, and while we may have fullsick drivers lurking on the forums, none of the paid members (they would be the club members) are allowed to do stupid shit while they display the club sticker, or their membership is revoked.

What we have noticed about the FFF is that its frequented by the type that would bring a thread down to a shitfight and revel in it, so rather than try to defend the skyline name on that thread we'd rather just express our disgust of FFF on this thread on our forum.

Trying to convince the average FFF excel driver (not you two bluebirders lol) that a skyline is better is like trying to convince a guy that if he shoved a piece of coal up his ass in a few days if he clenched his butt tight enough he'd have a diamond. It just won't happen, no matter how scientifically true it may be.

Don't judge sumone by their car, judge them by their behaviour. If you go around expecting all GTSt's owners to be pricks, then sooner or later you're gonna come across a SAU GTSt owner, and treat them like shit too, only proving to them what a stereotypical FFF goer you've become. Treat everyone on a case by case basis (as I do with any other brand of cars, cept maybe riced civics, I agree I prejudge civic drivers with neons) and you'll be amazed by the number of actual enthusiasts with cool cars that you converse with on the roads. You'll know a fullsick prick when you say "nice car" and he responds "yeah wanna drag?", expect a SAU person to go "yeah, she's my baby..." n get all sentimental about their car ;)

the best post in that thread was I reckon this one

it's because they're a popular choice for people moving up from lancers and civics and such.
Which I agree with, its the kids that move up from driving these cars that show this mentality that they are now invincible and that they are kings of the road. They don't respect their cars, nor are they at a stage in thier life where they are ready to accept that other cars may be just as good or better suited to other people than their cars.

Even funnier is the fact that this category of people are the majority of proactive FFF goers. So I hypothesise that if you take one of those FFF goers n put him in a R33 GTSt, you'd get the type of hoon that you were describing. But then I'd be generalising.

I think there is a point being missed here.

P-Plate drives in "General" are young and a little irresponsible and in some cases a lot irresponsible. We have all seen the exel, comm, gts, lanser etc do something silly and you just shake your head and say idiot.

I put this to you there is not a P-Plater in this country that has not done something stupid to some extent while driving with a "P" on the back, god knows I did when I was 17 years old.

The big issue I see, is that a GTS-T is a cost effective sports coupe which is a tail happy car with enough HP to be silly, so in "General" what do most "P" platers do? Stick the boot in to prove something to their mates or them selves.

So to answer the big question, no not 43, but to why do I see so many P-plater Skylines being idiots, the answer is, drum roll please.

"Because they can!"

That’s enough of the P plater inner psycho dribble, Oz has left the building.

Disclaimer,

By no way does this post agree or sanction the hooning action, burnouts, driving above the speed limit or any lewd act, of any individual, that’s what Eastern Creak is for!

As I always say “do it on track not on the roads!”

When they think they can't afford anything better then what they have got is the best.

Excell would need a bit more than a turbo with 96kw - actually would need 45kw extra added to stock 74kw - so with 120kw to be any good, you can't get that without a major engine ovehaul. Standard excel is top cruise speed 170kph only. Also excels are hopeless in the wet especially when doing downshift gear changes.

Stock gtst's seem to be quicker than tuned ones from the lights. Anyone know why the power seems to come on real high then drop off to 3000rpm when standard?

Guys, don't generalise that everyone on FFF owns a "excel" or drives mums car.

TommO.

Tommo - well said.

I know a few people that frequent FFF who are decent people.

Its just such a pity that individuals like boogs with their deliberate inflamitory comments are tarnishing the rep of the entire forum over there.

Boogs always has and always will be a very very small man who enjoys making very big claims and comments from behind his screen.

I say less of the trash talking and hardcore street racer attitude and a little more maturity and respect for the cars others choose to drive.

My 2 cents

When I started it this morning, the IAT was at 32F/0C (Outside temp was ~42F) and the AFRs went off the scale for my AEM gauge. I let it run for ~30 seconds then turned it off. I then did a smoke test, by hooking into a vacuum line directly behind the throttle body, and confirmed there was no leaks ( i let the smoke tester run for ~5 minutes / confirmed it was generating smoke before hand ). I then started the car again, after fixing a power steering leak.... and it seemed to be happy for ~30 seconds (was at ~11/12), but then seemingly shot back up to ~18 again. I then let the car run for a few minutes, thinking this was just cold start related, but the AFRs never came back down.
