Ntsc Requirements For Lcd Screen

Hi ,

I was wondering what the NTSC Requirements are for Aus Sat Nav or TV Tuner to display correctly on the Factory LCD Screen.

I am wondering if any other Sat Navs besides Garmins can be used on the Factory Screen ?

in short - no. if price is concerning you - dont do it. there are 3 units on the market - Garmin,clarion and HITV. the last one is a bit iffy on output. the clarion is decent but CVBS out only. the GARMIN is RGB out and will do a far better job. you were quoted the prices due to the time the jobs take. its not a 30 min hack install.. ( you bought this car becuase it was a nice flashy car and you are not going to let a 16 y/o work experience kid work on the thing are you ) pay the money and get it done right or dont do it at all.

as for requrements on NTSC google NTSC tv standards, that may not make a lot of sense to you though. (that is the question you actually asked.)
