Drivers Side Window

drivers side window will go down fine, but when i try to put it up it james in 3 different spots. i have to use my hand to pull the window up. When i do this the window will go up. Once it reaches the top and is fully up, the motor does not switch off itself and keeps trying to push the window up, making a loud grinding noise.

Just wondering if this could be the window motor, or something else causing this issue.

Yes, it's the window motor. Mine had the exact same symptoms as you described.

If you can get a replacement motor with regulator still attached, go for it. I changed it all out in around an hour.

I'd also check the switches in the door panel as well... ...I had to replace the motor twice because there was a fault in the switch that caused the regulator (or motor) to burn out...

The switch had two down clicks for "down" and "auto down"... ...but only one click up... ...and that could have been what caused it to burn out...
