Yep Steve. The inlet & outlet on the resonator are slightly offset from one another. Looking through it, it's still well designed & wouldn't cause a major restriction (i.e you can see one end to the other) but it's a restriction none the less.

If you'd like I'll bring it around to your place ~6pm this arvo :) Why would I do that? 'Cause friends of the missus just moved in right next door to YOU, & we're going there for dinner :)

yeah streight through resi wont have a large affect, the offset design will make a much larger reduction in noise and will affect the flow much more as well, the thing steve is talking about woule be worth considering, you would only needs a large rear cam and the valve in the middle, then with it closed nice and quiet and open no flow ristriction in the exh, and i think rob from D1 said they were 350

acts as a restriction i heard, due to the gasses bumping around in there before they find their way out the cat.....as well as increasing sound. You can gut it, but then weld a straight through pipe down though the centre to get the best effect :)
