I have the spec sheet and it specifically mentions ULP (98 octane) in a ratio of 15% to 85% ethanol. It also contains 9mg/L of corrosion inhibitor and green dye.

I can happily email this spec sheet to anyone who is interested.

Trent how much are you charging per ltr? Is it available only by the drum? Very interested in how things go with this. Are you charging the same price per hour for an E85 tune as for a 'normal' tune?

At the moment, we are only selling it in a 200L drum, but I am sure we will be able to sell smaller quantities if you bring your own drum for us to fill up.

As for dyno rates, yes there is no difference in price (that goes for 98 octane, tol/98, E85, C16 etc, its always the same rate). If you want an estimate on a tune, just PM me. I might even throw in some free e85!

Yes I need a definitive answer on the other 15% as I have a map on my Motec M400 tuned specifically for ELF branded E85 which is 15% 98 octane, everytime, doesn't differ per barrel.

I answered this in a prev post, just wanted to say I would definitely suggest a power run if you change fuel brand. Better to be same! If you buy a 200L e85 from us, I will throw in the power run to make sure your tune is safe.

Thanks Trent for the spec sheet, it's practically identical to the ELF race fuels branded E85 with 15% 98 RON.

Will definately be making some more inquirys about purchasing from your workshop

Is there any information on how long will the fuel last before going off once opened? Ie if I buy a 200l drum and use it over a 3-6 month period...

Hey Michael,

The thing to make sure is that it is always in a sealed container. This will allow the fuel to create its own atmosphere and will stop it absorbing moisture. What I do with my fuel is keep it in a sealed 200L drum until I get down to about 100L, then I put that into 5x 20L drums, to reduce the space above the fuel. It has a very long shelf life, so I would think you could easily keep it like this for 12+months.

The CSR E85 is the best on the market, I know people who have used ELF E85 and CSR E85 - Everyone is saying CSR gives a better result and has added protection with a corrosion inhibitor.

Gday, the other 15% is Caltex Vortex Premium 98.

Caltex has been proven in a couple of different tests to be the best 98 on the market.

Ive recently learned that Mercury Motorsport has been appointed the official QLD distributor for CSR E85. Trent informed me during a brief chat at the track the other day he has scored the ditribution rights for this fuel in QLD. This is exactly the same fuel as is being currenlty used by AVESCO in the V8 supercar series. Trent is about to recieve the first delivery of the new fuel and is keen to show some back to back tests against not only regular unleaded but also some of the more expensive race fuels.

Im keen to see some results.

I saw the data sheet and indeed it is, alot of the cheaper E85 mixes are using 91 octane for the other 15% so thats good to hear.

Will hopefully be buying some drums in the near future
