Are T517z Turbos Any Good

hi i was told that the hks t517z turbos have oil problems is that true has any 1 tried them and r they good for 500hps atw

no oil problems... they've been on my car pushing 360kw atw @ 20psi for 6+ years... depends on which versions you use as for how much power they make... I have the 8cm rear versions... the 10cm rears will make over 400kw atw

that said the garrett equivalents seem to perform just as well (if not better) and are really well priced

the only advantage the trust turbos have is they are plain bearing so cheaper to rebuild and you don't have to run water to them... downside is they don't spool as fast as ball bearing turbos and don't have that little torque wave as they come on
