Hi all, have an R32GTR basically standard running 1 bar boost max, big exhaust , pods + mines computer, just wondering if I should be adventurous and steer away from the BP Ultimate and try maybe the Ethanol 100 or even the AvGas Racing fuel, obviously Racing fuel would require the removal of the cat and used for track however would I need to tinker with the computer for the higher octane or would it sort it self out. I have never heard a ping or had any knocks to date and it is powering as a healty GTR should. I have had muscle cars, non fuel injected but not to be sneezed at by any means, those larger v8s were very receptive to racing fuel and immediately driveable.

AvGas - forget it. Use proper racefuels if you are going down that route (read, NOT cheap).

The ECU will not know there is better fuel. You will need a full tune of any ECU to make proper use of upgraded fuel, ethanol blend or otherwise.

I mean, without tuning a car for it - what's the point?

Spending big $$$ on racefuel only to see 1/2 the gain out of it IMO makes it a pointless excercise.
