When I was younger and didn't know much about cars, all my V8 mates would talk about RB, skyline engine in the VL and how good it is.

So I started my research and found out all the potential these beauty has and the whole package the Skyline comes in. From then on I was hooked.

The other day another friend asked me if I had all the money in the world what would be my dream car. He was going on about Ferraris, GT3 etc and I just looked over to my car and smiled. Might not be a GTR but it is still a Skyline, and maybe someday I will upgrade it to a R :)

I love their looks, performance, handling and ease of modding and working on. They are still rare enough on the roads to have that head turning factor (even more so when the wheels are spinning).

Its also an all round car, can be good on the track or cruising down a freeway to thrashing though the mountain roads.

Only negative thing I can say about it is the 180km speedo. I mean my girlfriends car with half the power still has a speedo over 200. I think it takes a lot of the wow factor out of the interior. My firebalade (CBR900) has a speedo of 300, when showing people the bike this was always the feature that really impressed them. Even if the bike was only good for 283kms. I guess it can always be changed though.

haha calvintys, u better get that GTR...

I have always loved the skyline ever since 90/91 at Bathurst, and my Dad's mate worked at a Nissan dealership and would always say how good the cars were and especially how well built the RB was.

The main parts are the lines, the tail lights, the power output in stock form, the huge range of aftermarket parts, the reliability, the comfort. Well advanced compared to what is offered in an aus built car thats 10 years old. Oh and Hippy, I do agree with ur comment about people dont wanna cut you off on the road.

Who would've thought the GT-R domination of the Group A category in Australia would've had this much of an impact?

Nissan are you listening? Lets do it all again with a V8 supercar GF50 Cima VK45DE!!!

God, where to start;

-Price

-Power

-Reliability

-Look

-Shape

-Functions/features

-Unique

-Not sold here

-Comfort

-Handling

-Massive amounts of aftermarket parts

-Easily modified with great results

-Bulletproof engine

-Solid construction and design

-Safety features

+ so many more

I think a skyline is what everyone is really looking for when they decide to buy a new car (thats not for business or family etc).

The amount of features along with the price makes people seem stupid when they spend $20K on other cars that arent even half the car a skyline is.

I think it truely takes one to own a skyline to have such passion about them, there is the lovers and there are the haters.. i am a lover :)

You go Godzilla

:werd: :boobs: :whackit: :D

I have... loves holdens (bah). he dropped out to go to do an engineering course or something (at the end of year 10). I wrote in big letters on the back of his shirt (as you do when someones leaving the school) "JAP CRAP RULES".

The looks of the skyline of course...BUT the way it sits on the road compaired to the old (VR) commodore i had. The skyline just sits on the road so nice...

Not to mention all the other things...looks, power, mod-ability etc...

Only downside's are insurence and fuel bill.

Skyline = $$$ cos ya just HAVE TO mod it
