Before Turbo Hard Pipe Kits, Anyone Had One?

Anyone had this hard pipe intake kit?

If you did will it increase the intake sound much? Any diff in power?

You will get a bit more induction noise and it won't suck shut like the factory one can in some situations. But no it wont give you any more power.

Why?

Because just as other ebay kits before it, it probably won't line up correctly. Will use shitty clamps that will pop off under boost and so on.

I don't even have to look @ the ad to know what the end result will be. Seen to many posts over the years about "i fitted XXX ebay part and it doesnt line up".

If you need a solid intake pipe, then get one fabricated here, locally, and ensure the AFM is moved as far away fron turbo intake to reduce chances of reversion - which is a direct problem of removing the factory pipe

And i say, only if you need it, because unless your current one is sucking shut - you should leave it as is.

your probably right with not popping off...I have a similar hard pipe, but its a legit Apexi power intake one, crappy clamps can cause issues though...ie not sealing properly and air getting in behind the airflow meter causing air/fuel ratios to stuff up...
