Bonnet Doesnt Pop Up Properly ?

ok so i go to pop my bonnet up and it never clicks up. I have to have 2 people doing it,

one with the switch inside and one lifting the latch under the bonnet..

i was looking at it this morning and i noticed that the spring that the bonnets latch sits on

is bent ..... so does this mean that this is my problem with the bonnet not clicking up ???

Tried WD40 to free it up?

its fully bent down yes ive tried wd40

looks like you will need to get some silicon spray in there or replace the spring they arent expensive most import wreckers have them from front cuts

yea was thinking of replacing it if it was the problem.

so off to get a new spring ...

could also adjust the rubber stops on both sides. twist them up a bit.
