Carbon 34
HeyI broke a piece of this part but just interested to know what it is and what it does I think it may be from the heater hose not sure. cheers http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=426434 hard to see in your photo, but it is a heater control valve of some sort . when you move the heater control inside it should open up to let hot water into the heater core to warm you up ? or stop the flow to cool you down. Craved
what opens and closes it? what is on the other end of that cable? r33s run a climate control unit that uses the doors in the heater box to control temps - find it strange that you would block the heater line like a early 80's car does Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/305412-what-is-and-and-what-does-it-do/#findComment-5053637 Share on other sites

Godzilla32
Even climate control cars use a heater tap to control flow to the heater core. The climate control cars usually just have it mounted directly to the heater core itself. Looks like a cable operated heater tap which would be controlled via a slide control inside the car.
