Need a plumber for what is hopefully a quick and easy job in Upwey.

Got a strange copper pipe hanging under the house that's dripping a decent amount of water.

Need to find out what's letting out the water out at the other end of the pipe, or close off the leaking end of the pipe before my house slides down the hill...

Anyone know one or have recommendations?

Couple of options.

1. Local Phonebook for a plumber if you have any concerns at all.

2. Can you DIY??. Is it leaking from a burst/split pipe or a connection into a fitting? More detail req. Although im not local to your area I work on the trade counter at a plumbing supplier over here and may with a bit more detail (and maybe a photo) be able to offer some suggestions on what you may need to fix it. Also on this copper pipe if there are any numbers/writing it may help in regards to sizing.

Im assuming when you say a "strange" copper pipe that you have no idea what it is running too?

Only thing about plumbers are there are no "standards". Some are brilliant, some are pathetic. Some charge more then a fortune and some are fairly cheap. Lol. Sounds a bit like mechanics really. Just make sure you get a few quotes before going ahead with one. I've heard many stories of people quoting $500 for a job that someone else could have done for $100

The variability in quality and price was why I was hoping for recommendations.

It's just an open ended pipe dangling under the kitchen that has a slow but consistent drip. While I have good access under the rest of the house I can't get under the kitchen. I could block it, but if it's an overflow then I want to find out what it's connected to.

Ok, seem to have narrowed it down to a faulty relief valve on my electric hot water service so plumber no longer required, just need a new valve. Shame you're not at a plumbing supplier here in Melb Luke :)
