Zomg! My Brakes Are Eating Into My Rotors!

I was getting this terrible grinding groaning sound and couldn't figure it out. It bugged me for a few days, then I checked agian thsi morning and realised my calipers/pads are eating into my rear rotors X_X! !@#$#@%!%!#$@

Anyone kind enough to bring me a set of rear pads to Macquarie Park, Sydney so I can head to the mechs to get it swapped? I'm stuck at work now

Do I need to remove the caliper bolts and take off the caliper to replace the pads or can I just leave them on and pull off the pins?

Basically just pull the pins, that pads will slide out upwards. Then press the pistons back into the caliper to fit the new pads.

Just to update, it was in fact, my WHEEL SPACERS. Freak, the hell if I even knew I had them!!! They're like center hub rings but inched out to set the wheel out more.....

Mechanic removed them and walla, good as new. They were originally attached to my WEDS that i picked up from a Jap wrecker, so whoever the dori dori had it on before, must have used those....

It totally slipped my mind, as I saw them as center hub rings.....

I was just going to suggest looking at your photo the pads are fine (or at lease the outside one).

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I would like to get some feedback for the r tune pads. How are they like in terms of performance, dust and noise (sqeaking)?

dust is low, squeaking yes... but not annoying

I havne't been able to track it yet, but it sure bites. Hard to tell for just the rears...

Got the rtune in the front and keeping the rear when I'm fitting new rotors. Very nice and no squeal at all.
