Has anybody used factory R33 brake lines and affixed them properly on their A31?

I can secure to the caliper fine, and I can secure into the hardline (and the brakcet where the hardline exits the chassis), but in the middle, where its meant to secure to the bottom of the suspension..its totally different.

Has anybody had luck bending the clip on the base, or making up a bracket? or is it easier to get some lines made up with the slip on tab on the middle, to suit the S13/A31 ?

Found a solution for this.

Use A31 brake lines, and on the caliper remove the 'oilve' flange.

MUCH safer than shortening the banjo bolt, and the brake line is secure at the wall, on the coilover and at the caliper.

NOW, no more excuses you lot, do your brake upgrades properly (and easily) this way.

i was about to suggest removing the 'olive' , that's how i did it . NOTE they are not the simplest to get out of r33 brakes , i ended up bashing a small screw driver into mine so i could tap them out :P . another suggestion , having 20 odd year old rubber brake lines that technically are only supposed to be used for ~5 on a performance car , might be a good time to get them replaced :)

Yeah I bashed a wedge shaped screw extractor into mine, twisted it until it let go then simply pulled it out.

Banjo fits perfect, fits even slightly better somehow with a very small washer between it.

Good opportunity to get some braided lines when doing this....they're only $120 a pair depending on where you go.
