since when? plenty of people have low mounted gt35s

and to all the stock ecu haters, it was running 7psi ffs, would have been running just as rich as it does with a standard turbo at 12-13psi. wont lean out until you start going past the max flow of the injectors or fuel pump.

OP: install your pfc, z32 afm and evc and get it tuned. see how it goes, then decide if the turbo is suitable and if you need bigger injectors

Hmm i didn't think you could fit a GT35 low mounted. Post up pics so we can see what size turbo it is.

Its got some numbers on it so i took a photo of those if they are any help...its got a 4" intake too, i only got told by a workshop when i took it in that they thought it was a gt35...but im not sure

Fair enough, i thought the size of a GT35 would foul on something low mounted. Havn't ever looked in to low mounting a GT35, all that i have seen have been high mounted.

blitz used kkk housings with turbonetics wheels, that k27 you have is a large frame one and no doubt of a mecedes truck or some random tractor

it is most certainly not a blitz turbo, nor is it a performace turbo.

2 secs and ill look up what it is off

ok just had a look...with out the proper build tags i cant see exactly what it is but it would have come from a Liebherr or deutz earth mover.

its a shame the tags have been removed other wise i could have given you a part number for a smaller turbine housing.

are there any tags or numbers on the turbine housing, it looks like a 13.21 rear housing (big)

Nope i just had another look and the only numbers on the turbo are of the ones i took the photo of... so if your saying this isnt a performance turbo...because arent the k27 a performance turbo? so is it still a k27 or....?

Im kind of wondering if i can sell this and wanting to see how much i should be wanting for it

Why would you? It would run like crap, laggy as hell and the stock ECU wouldn't know what is going on so it would run rich and pull timing. Not to mention you run the risk if something goes wrong and boost spikes to a proper amount for it that it can run efficiently (18+psi) you risk maxing out the injectors, maxing out the fuel pump, hitting airflow cut etc. Not saying it's going to kill something instantly but all in all its just not a good combination.

Obviously you can run it like that if you choose, hell you could run a T51R on the stock setup on 4psi, but is it going to be well setup and safe, no it is not. I ran my plenum and turbo upgrade on the stock ECU and it ran ok, did it run nicely and make power, no it did not and it's a fairly small turbo compared to a GT35, which the OP's number aint, it looks to be much larger atleast housing wise.

Kinda noob question here...

but i was wondering... would a decent tune with a decent ecu and uprated fuel pump, injectors etc make a gt35 less laggy or would it be un-noticeable? or not make a difference because of the size of it in the first place?

Well....

I brought my r33 rb25det with this insanely big turbo already on the car....looks like a gt35 front but the exhaust housing of it is huge and when i would drive the car it would lag and in first gear kick in at about 6k revs, and 2nd like 5500, but when it kicked in it would sit me back in my seat on stock 7psi,

BUT i recently brought a new DSR 430 turbo, and then raised the boost up to 10psi, it spools up at about 3k and i get full boost by about 4-4500revs

But even though i raised the boost and its hitting boost for longer in the rev range....its actually going slower then the old turbo. The old big turbo i had i would be doing about 60 before changing into 2nd and about 100 at the end of 2nd, and it was on stock 7psi but with this dsr turbo i get to about 50kph in 1st and about 90 in 2nd gear... on 10psi

The DSR turbo keeps power through all the way to redline aswell,

So is this becuase the DSR430 turbo i brought a piece of chinese crap? or do i need a really decent tune? or a high quality turbo such as a garretgt30 or somthing?

Thanks guys!

hey bro i bought a dsr430 turbo and i had trouble installing it how did u install urs if u dnt mind me asking
