Great work on further weigh reduction.

I have a question for you...

How do you wash it without destroying the hard work Allison has put into the 'art'?

Only asking cos I don't think you've taken photos when the car's dirty.

pretty sure he sprayed clear coat over the artwork.

With headlights, if you want em to come out crystal clean, you can sand em back with 800 grit sand paper (wet and dry), then 1000, then 1500 then 2000. Make sure you spend a while on each grit and get an even surface finish. Then either spray clear coat over em, or polish them up with some plastic polish or metal polish. They come up brand new :)

It's clearcoated courtesy of the Lost Birds Paint Shop... aka me. haha.

How powerful of a buffer would I need? The one I have now is a $30 on/off thing. Doesn't spin up that fast, so I'm wondering if it would do the trick.

Spend every day on Yahoo auctions and try and get some S3 Xenon lights for a good price, it really needs them now!

I can't find them for anything I'm willing to pay. lol. We have UPGarage here in japan, or "U"sed "P'arts Garage and they always have some for sale. It's a ntionwide network of stores that will ship to your local store. the last set they had was brand new in the box still for about 1750 AUD. no thanks! you can use the search box to look for whatever. just type R32 R33 or R34 and see what they have. or type RB26DETT :D

I did mine by hand, sanded and polished... ill try get you some pics.

My female friend thought shed touch up my old matte black front bar and got over spray all over the headlights, so we grabbed some thinners to wipe it off and it completely frosted em up. I used the technique mentioned above and they came up almost brand new!

This price is pretty cheap for brand new I remember someone in Oz asking $3k AUD for ok condition pair... I'd grab them if I were you and I think Just Jap in Sydney is asking at least $3k for new pair.

Just gonna keep it updated so that I have a record somewhere of it. should be below 1400kg before the end of the week as the compressor and AC lines are still attached, along with some other stuff coming out. also did some work on the seat and it's back another 8cm and down another 2cm. I'm 1.91m tall and my eyes are now level with the top of the dashboard, which by the way makes the car incredibly difficult to park.

yes i've seen that, ive gotta say i like the skyline better. the lambo's graphics look a bit mindless to me and a bit cluttered. the r33's got some form and elegance to it. if it makes sense.

very good read.. awesome work by Allison mate.. huge dedication there

UPDATE: Went to Mine's today. New engine going in this week, as long as I can find the headers and outlet pipes I want in time, otherwise next week. MINE'S POWERRRRRRR!

Well, the short story is, a connecting rod bearing said goodbye to me. The other short story is, I didn't know the ECU installed in my car has no Rev Limiter. 8600 RPMs sounds awesome, but I guess it didn't help keep my engine alive. Mine's are really good people. They gave me a tour of the whole shop. They have 15 RB26s sitting on pallets ready to go. He said it would take 3 days to turn it around once I drop the car off. I have to go find some bigger turbos myself though, as they pretty much only deal R35 parts these days (as far as GT-Rs go). Pics etc. will come!
