i have a sandwhich plate here for my gauges for my rb20det, when i screw the oil filter onto the thread of the fitting it is fouling on the nut bit of the fitting and not allowing the filter to screw down far enough to seal on the plate

if i find another model filter that will eliminate this problem

would there be any issues with using a different model oil filter?

thanks

The S13 SR filter has the same thread and is smaller; a lot smaller. Make sure it's the S13 (Non-VTC SR20) filter not the S14/15 (VTC SR20) filter.

common one is a z418.(toyota) inbulit relief valve. better if using a oil cooler.

3/4unf thread is what you are after. not a m20 thread. (some sr20 and later model nissan)

so. z442,z145,z418,z9,z115 just of the top of my head. as long as it fits in the spot all will be fine. and bigger is better.
