Removing Driver Side Door Handle

just need some pointers on how to remove the handle. did a search but nothing came up at all.

pull door trim, pull door catch, two 10mm bolts hold the handle on. thats it.

the little rod holders pop off by twisting the plastic clip then the rod slides off the latches. DO NOT CLOSE THE DOOR or LOCK them they can bind up and not open right again without some acrobatic stunts to get into the crevices of the door cavity. pain with seats in the car still.

I've unbolted my handle and I'm trying to get it out but it's not cooperating. Should I just be a bit more rough with it?
