G'day Guys,

I am looking at getting back into world of warcraft after a 2 year break... i imagine a hell of a lot has changed and there are a whole lot of new items/instances/raids/BG's to explore....

Was just wondering if anyone is playing on a good Aus server atm... i used to play on Frostmourne but from what i hear it is going downhill... Would appreciate any advise + feedback!!

Also if possible any chance of hooking a brother up with some 16 slot bags? because i dont think i could go back to the stock standard baggage... god no

Cheers!!

World of Warcraft is not a game... its a lifestyle...

it used to be about whoever plays the most is the best but they have actually made some changes so that people who dont play often can still get good gear and kick ass

my guy on jubeithos horde is called wootbringer, i'll give you some G for bags etc if you want

I quit playing around six months ago shortly after the second expansion was released.

You can now go up to level 80, there are stupid numbers of instances to do as well. As for bags, you can buy up to 28 slot bags but they do cost a bit.

You will find apart from the epic mounts that you knew there are also regular flying mounts, epic flying mounts, snow flying skill (this costs 10K gold) and 25K epic snow mounts (these are usually mammoths) which can only be used in the new frozen continent. Judging by the time you've been out you only know what used to be the old world, added to this is Outlands (first expansion) and the new continent which I forget what is called.

Making 1000g is easy, but these days it isn't much. Mining is still the most profitable profession out there since Jewelcrafting also uses ores.

There are two new races, Blood Elves and Dranei. The third expansion will bring on two more. The first "Hero" class, the Death Knights are almost impossible to kill on BG's and have practically outclassed Warriors out of tanking, so if you're looking at raiding or PVP then DK's are the way to go. These things out-aggro and out-dps warlocks and hold aggro better than most tanks (unless they are geared to their teeth).

It has become easier to acquire epic gear, but of course, there is epic gear and there is epic gear. The best stuff still drops at raids which are still on average four hours long.

In conclusion, I would advise you not to re-start WOW unless you are prepared to invest obsene amounts of time trying to catch up and unless you spend an average of 23 ½ hours a day playing you will NOT control the server economy. There are players out there with well over 500K gold. The servers belong to them. :)

Also, a good Australian time zone server is Khaz'goroth. You can organise or join raid parties which usually start from 6:00 PM onwards.

I've been playing on Khaz'Garoth - seem to be alot of Aussies on there, but gave up a few months back, its heaps dumbed down now though imo. As people have said very time consuming

The fact that the game has become so easy could be good for him. It is easier to settle in, and gear up quickly.

Once he realises its bad then i guess its up to him. I still have my account running but i don't ever log on. My main is in a guild doing H LK which is going to waste, i can't bare to sell my account though.

In my opinion, play the game, get to 80 and gear up. See if you like it, if yes then enjoy play on and kill that time away from reality you dont need. If no then come play HoN =]

    • There are fixes for this. In industry we use compressed air for everything. It is frequently wet, and many things cannot tolerate it. So there are various forms of driers available that you can install. The simplest option for something like this would be a dessicant drier. Much cheaper to replace some silica gel than actuator cylinders.
    • That's a solid update mate, well done at WA FOS. You may already know this, but the actuators on the paddle shift are a service item and are sadly not that reliable. As I understand it they collect water from the compressor (condensation) which then rusts the bores/pistons in the actuators. A mate of mine had no end of trouble with them in one if his circuit cars, apparently it's a 'known issue'. Buy a couple of spares at great expense to ensure you never have any problems with the ones you've got! Any clues about what the new WTAC rules might be? While faster cars are cool the Pro class arms race has got to the point where you wouldn't even bother entering without a $1m budget and even then I don't think you'd win.

You can see another picture of it here: https://www.alltranz.com.au/shop/drivetrain/automatic-transmission/RE5R01A/product/9305/ The 4 speed automatic in the GTT is Nissan corporate stuff. You can search up similar jobs done on a Frontier or Pathfinder with a RE4R01B to get an idea for what the internals are going to look like and the procedure like this:
