don't do it man!

i started up agian after like 4 year break and yeah its wasting my time

fair enough its something to do when your bored but it ends up taking a lot more than your free time

on nissansilvia there is a few guys on frostmourne and jubeithos but the thread is dead, i think they are too busy playing lol

4 year break? So you played for 6 months then took a break?!

To the OP, I play on Thaurissian, Horde side. It's not a bad server. I used to play Blackrock and Daggerspine and I prefer it to those.

I have taken a year out and am just getting back into it. I'm not too keen on raiding anymore - I used to do 4 nights a week - so have just been running heroics. I'm having a bit of fun. It's much easier to actually get gear and some of the changes like the dungeon finder are bloody awesome.

I'll throw you some cash if you roll on Thaurissian. I've got it coming out the whazoo.

Alright so i am now level 80 with 3/5 Furious Glad.... gearing is easy as p!ss ! but i must say joining a BG and getting your face rolled by insanely geared people isnt too much fun... Never the less i am having fun playing again =)

Anyone on Frostmourne horde ? Give us a yell !

Cowboy... is Thaurissian oceanic? And whats your class/lvl/spec

i used to play heaps during BC and pre-bc, played a undead warrior on Jubei'thos then transfered to Barthilas to join the top Horde oceanic guild and then sold my account when my guild merged with another, pretty much all the good players and my friends had already quit or sold there accounts

played a friends account and leveled another warrior for wotlk but the game is shit now, everything i liked about the game has been changed so much

arena pvp was alot of fun during season 1-2, played a bunch of different matchups, shaman/warrior was the most fun in 2v2 befor they changed windfury totem in wotlk :) would have got Gladiator afew times but transfered server and sold my account befor the arena seasons ended

I play on the Khazgoroth server, and shock horror I am alliance! I always hear the lament of Alliance players saying Ally=fail, even if we're winning. Is there really a noticeable maturity difference? I guessed that most Horde players would've been Alliance and vice versa.

Despite being a tankadin, I mostly play BG.

Pve seems rather boring, especially doing a raid for 5hrs! That said, few people want to go through a raid with a tank who hasnt already done the instance, so invites are non-existent lol. Both of my talent trees are tank (pve and pvp).

My main toon (in pvp gear). Edit- okay i seem to have left pve pants on; i do have 251 pvp pants too:

Ok... so i have quit again... haha didnt last too long actually... I just cant sit on that game for as long anymore it is not as interesting....

Started playing battlefield 2 bad company... pretty good i recommend it !

My account dun got hacked in the past few days.

I'm all emo now lol...sigh 4 years of using the same password, took them long enough to get me

Same here, been playing for 2 years now, got hacked about a week ago. f**kers added an authenticator to my account too so I couldnt just reset the password. Now i'm still waiting for Blizzard to send me out my new password, they said in an email that I would have it at 7am AEST but it hasnt turned up so now the waiting game continues.

The strangest thing is *touches wood* the hackers didnt actually take anything, no gold, no items. My girlfriends account got hacked at the same time too, which is really strange because we use 2 different computers.

Maybe the hackers are going server by server? all my characters and my gf's are all on Saurfang.

Who knows hey? I sent them the webform, but I aint waiting around or I'll die of boredom. I suggest you call them late tonight like myself, their customer service line runs 12am - 1pm AEST, which is 7am - 8pm PST for them. Start trying to call through immediately after midnight, or you'll get caught in the 35minute+ queue.

I'm hoping nothing is gone, coz I really hate trying to get everything back. Had to help out a mate remember what he had when he got done...took ages. As long as I get my 8100g back, with at least one lvl80's gear as well, I'll be happy while I wait.

Funnily enough, my other mate mentioned his account got hacked, must've been right after he took a break coz he didn't realise for months....got it back with everything gone....and in ALL his bank/back slots he had full stacks of Titansteel bars, as well as roughly 100k gold. Needless to say, he didn't worry too much about hassling blizz for his gear back rofl

Game different to BC. BC catered for guilds and socialism. You didn't see any highly geared people unless they were in a raiding guild, and knew how to play.

Now any random noob can get T10 (latest tier). This means you can't be certain through gear checks if they are a decent player or not. The new achievement system doesn't help either because you could clear ICC while dying early on every boss. (practically)

Game took a spammy turn for the worst. Back in the day you had to make a 5 man group, manually get over there, summon, buffs, etc. Well now the game simply asks "Are you a Tank? Are you DPS?" - You click a button, few moments later there is 5 people in a group, and you teleport into the instance. You clear it then teleport out to where you originally were. Fast? Maybe so, but it removes the feel the game had.

Don't get me wrong though, I still play, have 2 toons with all 264/277's and around 50k gold. But just annoys me when I spent lots of time and effort getting T7 gear. When the T8 raids came out they changed the awards so you can run random heroics and get the T7. That totally makes me feel like I've wasted my time. If you stay a month behind everyone else, you get the same gear for far less effort.

Now you can run randoms and essentially get 5 piece T10. I'm HIV positive that this is bellshit.

End rant... I could go on for hours.

Boo i activated my account a couple weeks ago. Am playing Horde on Thaurissan (still).

I have made a guild (again) but this time will be strictly a close knit group of friends/long time wow friends and keep it small for when Cataclysm is released.

If anyone is interested in a more calm paced, relaxed raiding schedule (but still very progressive) feel free to let me know. Of course i would need to take into consideration your role =] otherwise socials are great.

Currently i have me, the mrs and two good friends, the third is coming closer to cataclysm. Also some old school WoW friends will be joining us too, they live in Bendigo and i think one actually is registered on here =o

Goooo fun times! (/slitwrist this game is worse than heroin)

D-G I can help do some DPS if you need me, dont play to much anymore but have a 6.1k GS rogue

Completely up to you, throw me your nickname or real id more than happy to play with you!

If you already have a decent guild, don't stray but i am guessing a lot of guilds will disband or clean up come Cata. =]

Hey GT-R

Man I havent posted on here in a while, but yeah im on Thaurissan Horde side have 3 toons all over 6k GS Warlock/DK/Shaman. I am currently trying to co ordinate a group of people to go for our frostbrood drakes from Glory of the Icecrown Raider, If you are interested and geared let me know .

    • I'd be curious to hear more. Otherwise, have you driven a modern x-trail? I wonder how it compares. Here in Australia they are/were popular for rentals and fleet vehicles. I have been in some and my impression was they are bad. But, this may have been very different in the 2000s at a good trim level. Twenty years is plenty of time to make the model worse. I do very much agree with the 2 silver cars in the garage approach. But, not driving because it's too hot would not leave a lot of time in the year for many Australians. I don't think you need to worry too much unless the car has actual issues with overheating.
    • Back again. I returned to Japan in Jul/Aug to spend time with the car on my birthday and remind myself what all the sacrifice and compromise is for. It happened to line up with the monthly morning meet in Okutama, which I have been wanting to go to for a long time. It's a unique event at a unique spot with really rare, interesting, and quirky cars. It's where all the oldheads and OGs gather. The nighttime scene at DKF certainly has its place and should be experienced if you're into cars, but there's too much bad attention and negativity around it now. IMO the better time is Sunday morning at DKF or Okutama; it's more chill and relaxed. I'm glad I was finally able to go, but not sure it's worth the drive from all the way from Nagoya immediately the day before, unless I was already staying in Tokyo for the days right before the meet, because you have to wake up quite early to make it in time. Funnily enough though I didn't drive the car all that much this trip because it was just too damn hot. While there were zero issues and running temps were nominal and the A/C was strong, RBs already run crazy hot as it is. Sure, it took it all like a champ but something about driving these cars in the ridiculous heat/humidity bothers me and makes me feel like I'm asking too much of it. I'm just me being weird and treating the car like a living thing with feelings; I'm mechanically sympathetic to a fault. Instead I was mainly driving something else around - a KX4(silver) 2001 X-Trail GT, that I acquired in May. There's a few different flavors to choose from with Xs, but visually it's the Nissan version of the Honda CR-V. Mechanically it's a whole different story as this, being the top-trim GT, has an SR20VET mated to a four-speed auto and full-time AWD! It was a very affordable buy in exceptional condition inside and out, with very low mileage...only 48k kms. Most likely it was owned by an older person who kept it garaged and well-maintained, so I'm really happy with how it all worked out. It literally needs zero attention at the moment, albeit except for some minor visual touch-ups. I wanted something quirky, interesting, and practical and for sure it handily delivers on all three of those aspects. I was immediately able to utilize the cargo and passenger capacity to its full extent. It's a lot of fun to drive and is quite punchy through 1st and 2nd. It's very unassuming -in the twisty bits it's a lot more composed than one would think at a glance- and it'll be even better once I get better tires on it(yes, it's an SUV but still a little boat-y for my liking). So...now I have two golden-era Nissans in silver. One sports car and one that does everything else; the perfect two-car solution I think👍 The rest of the trip...I was able to turn my stressed brain off and enjoy it, although I didn't quite get to do as much as I thought. I did some interesting things, met some interesting people, and happened into some interesting situations however, that's all for another post though only if people really want to know. Project-wise, I went back to Mine's again to discuss more plans and am hoping to wrap that up real soon; keep watching this space if that interests you. Additionally, while working in the tormenting sweatbox that is the warehouse, I was able to organize most of the myriad of parts that my friend is storing for me along with the cars, and the 34 has a nice little spot carved out for it: And since it can get so stupid hot in there, that made it all the more easy -after I was standing there looking at the car and said 'f**k it'- to finally remove all the damn gauges that have mostly been an eyesore all this time. Huzzah. The heat basically makes the adhesive backing on the gauge mounts more pliable to work with, so it was far less stressful getting this done. I didn't fully clean it up or chase the wiring though; that will happen once I have the car in closer possession. Another major reason to remove all that stuff is to give people less reasons to get in my car and steal s**t while it's being exported/imported when/if the time comes, which leads us to my next point... ...and that is even though it's time in Japan is technically almost up since it's a November car and the X would be coming in March, I'm still not entirely sure where my life and career is headed; I don't really know what the future looks like and where I'm going to end up. I feel there's a great deal of uncertainty with me and as a result of that, it feels like I'm at a crossroads moreso now than any point in my life thus far and there are some choices I need to make. Yes, I've had some years to consider things and prepare myself, however too much has happened in that time to maintain confidence and everything feels so up in the air; tenuous one might say. Simply put, there's just too much nonsense going on right now from multiple vectors. Admittedly, I'm struggling to stay in the game and keep my eyes on the prize. So much so in fact, that very recently I came the closest I ever have before to calling it quits outright; selling everything and moving on and not looking back. The astute among you will pick up on key subtext within this paragraph. In the meantime I've still managed to slowly acquire some final bits for the car, but it feels nice knowing there's not much left to get and I'm almost across that finish line; I have almost everything I'll ever want for my interpretation and expression on what it is I think an R34 should be. 'til later.
    • Thanks for that, hadn’t used my brain enough to think about that.
    • Also playing with fire if they start to flow more air down low than what the stock twins can. It's not even up top you need to worry, it can be at 3000rpm and part throttle and it's getting way more flow than it should.
    • Any G40/1000 or G40/1250 results out there?
