Leaking Brake Master Cylinder Question

been looking round to get my leaking brake master cylinder repaired.

One place told me this:

"New brake master cylinder for your car is not available. We need to resleeve and rekit your brake master cylinder with a stainless steel insert bore which will end up being better than a new one as the new ones come out with aluminium bores. Price to resleeve and rekit the brake master cylinder to your Nissan R32 GTR 1993 is $420.00 this price includes the resleeving with a stainless sleel insert to the bore, brake master cylinder kit, labour and gst."

Has anyone done anything similar? should I go for this or just get it repalced with a Nissan genuine one?

I have done both.

Had them re-sleeved and bought new ones (when I wanted an upgrade).

There is really nothing wrong with either option.

I had mine re-sleeved.

I have had no problems with it and thats after 3-4 years with a mix of street and track.
