Pineapples??????

Ok I had a little trouble with grip down at the track last time i was there, and several people have suggested that i get "Pinapples" to increase the grip.

Only one problem, i dont know what these pinapples are, or how much they cost

can anyone tell me:

The technical name for them (i didnt find any "pinapples" listed in the suspension section of any parts sites).

About how much they cost?

What they do?

are they worth it for street driving with the occasional trip down to the drags.
