Will be an interesting season, so many points of interest too like:

Alonso now at Ferrari and incidentally going fastest in testing thus far

Schuey now at Mercedes GP, back alongside Brawn and showing good signs early

Ferrari powered BMW Sauber have shown lots of speed in the hands of old timer de la Rosa

Current WDC Button at McLaren alongside a former WDC Hamilton

Vettel/RBR and Adrian Newey at it again together

the list could go on.... and on

Yeah agreed, its sure gonna be one of the most interesting seasons for ages.

Still hope Webber achieves a few results this season also... Go OZZY!

Testing times don't mean squat wait till the first round then it'll be clear....Common!

True depending on what they're actually testing but sometimes it means a great deal and gives a pretty good indication of who's going to be competitive from the get go

ferrari have had two rough years so this year they are definitely going to be trying to get back into the winners circle......Ferrari started working on the F10 midway through last season when other teams were still developing their current (09) cars.....so looks like time and effort well spent so far :)

The main problem for Ferrari the last couple years has been the amount key people that have changed/left the team. Schumacher, Brawn, Tolt for starters....

Every team wants to win, it's just a matter of if they have the know how & the budget to follow through. The addition of Alonso should be an added strength, although if Massa proves to be too competitive (which is a good chance) it could be a repeat of the problems at McLaren. Unless that is Alonso has learnt from that.....

So who knows, I'm not going to be making bets either way that's for sure.

I'll still want Webber to win anyway :D

looking forward to RBR car launch tomorrow!

should be an interesting season, looks like it'll be a fight between Mercades and McLaren for the championships (going by performance at the end of last season)

with the no refueling going on i def think that vetel will own mark this season (mark uses more fuel per lap), but that might also play into buttons and alonso hands... tho the most interesting thing for me will be how will schuey do =)

lotsa question, lots of intrigue, should be another good season

mark and lewis both use a lot of fuel per lap then say button or alonso......its just their driving style does that.....schuey did ok in the tests and has done a lot of laps in a gp2 car...so he will be in good shape first race me thinks......this year will be a rather tight one.....drivers challenging for the championship would be: Button, Hamilton, Alonso, Massa, Webber, Vetel, Schuey

yeah, i know most cars have been launched... but today is RB6 launch day, not most cars have already been launched day! =\ and just from an engineering standpoint alone most people should be interested in what newey has come up with for this season, then again, i guess most people aren't interested in fluid dynamics XD

the whole idea about getting more laps under your belt is a good idea in theory, but this year there is not only a limit on number of test days but there is actually a limit on number of tyres you can use in testing as well (and hence a corresponding amount of kms you can put on a car)... may as well plan to maximise your time both in the wind tunnel and on the track??? =) but mebe its simply the fact that RBR didn't have the opportunity to start development of the 2010 car as early as some other teams last season... :)

    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to some I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
    • I'm aware, but unless you're actually seeing the voltage the ECU is seeing and you're able to verify the sensors are actually working I find it hard to just trust STFT/LTFT. I will say, logging the ECU comes naturally to me because it's one of the lowest effort methods of diagnosis and I do similar things in my day job all the time. Staring at 20+ charts looking for something that isn't quite right isn't for everyone. NDS1 allows you to log almost everything so that's normally what I do and then sort out the data later.
