Lol I actually did have an invite to some after party given to me from a guy who worked for the red bull team I think he was. Was one of my dads mates lol knew who I was but never met the guy haha ended up having my name on the list haha.

how bad was the ascari? It got hit pretty hard by the looks of it but I didn't see it after the crash.

I thought the between the v8 super cars and the GT cars they were more exciting then the F1 cars haha

pffft who wants to go to an energy drink after party?? thats kids stuff!!! LOL

the gt's were abysmal, 7 laps of racing all weekend absolutely shocking considering the money that was put up by the teams to get on the grid.

the ascari accident was stupid and no reason for it to happen,

Saturdays was shocking, and was caused by the drivers trying to avoid the Aston that went into limp home mode on the rolling start. We were all glad to see the drivers involved were all ok.

We were glad all our cars made it through the weekend with minimal damage

Yeah I saw the Aston stall up at the starting line and was wondering what was going on. Was abit upset about how short the race was as it got quite exciting pretty quickly!

I remember a masertai losing it's boot, think it was a 911 losing it's door. There was bits of car everywhere haha

Think I saw a White mosler (spelling?) with part of it's front end ripped off. Deffently not a cheap day for alot of those guys

15 cars damaged on saturday.

Was talking with one of the Lambo drivers and he was saying he was ducking in his car as a wheel went over the windscreen.

One good thing out of it was some great advertising for us, with the pics in the paper and on the news (but i didn't say that) considering quite a few friends were involved in the accident

did you drop down past our GT paddock?

... Well unless you were a promo model or looked 21 wearing a skimpy outfit and had a hot friend next to you, you didn't get an invite to our party LOL

were you with the Vodka O team?

i was a guest of the Hallmarc team - they had a disappointing weekend with Michael Loccisano's 911 lunching its gearbox during the warmup for Friday's race (they had to install a replacement box from Porsche that day) and Marc Cini's new 997 Cup S got smashed into very expensive pieces after the Aston stalled in Saturday's short race.

will try to post some shots of said 21 year old with skimpy outfit and hot friend...

yeah mate, with the vodka o guys'n gals

we were watching race 2 when marc hit the wall and had his brother sitting next to us.

We were first told that it was the Lester 430 that hit the wall then trying to see a replay through the tree's we saw it was marc.

I flew in saturday morning so i missed the first 2 days :D

+1, should be a good race. The Mc's are close enough but if it's dry I expect Vettel to bring it home with ease.

Ferrari might also have some speed with fuel on board and certainly MS could feature depending how he uses his rubber.

what a dramatic finishing to the race last night......Hamilton in second position crashes out on the second last lap due to tyre failure......Vettel looses a position to Alonso because he simply had no brakes.....wow didnt expect ferrari to be on the podium but guess you need a bit of luck at times.....now alonso is only 3 points behind on the championship ladder to button.......getting better for next week

yep webber's car setup was awesome.....his tires worked well and the car achieved a really good speed.....i think he even had the fastest lap of the race.....he really did the trifecta......starting on pole, fastest lap and race victory......really a good job and kudos to him for doing that......still cant believe what a poor qualifying from ferrari and managed to jag 2nd spot lol

yeah i was dreading that would happen.....it would be damn hard to get a good clean lap in i reackon.......got $$$ on alfonso to win......or at least a ferrari win :(......its been a while

Total dominance from Webber last nite.... If there were less safety cars then he would have won by half a lap!!

great strategy by Ferrari too...

Massive mistake by Mclaren to leave the blockout in the radiator on buttons car... and he paid the price!

It was awesome to see Webber's race last night. It's really good to see him out pace his team mate buy so much and the rest of the field by even more, especially on a drivers track. Let's just hope he can carry the momentum on for the rest of the season.

    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to some I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
    • I'm aware, but unless you're actually seeing the voltage the ECU is seeing and you're able to verify the sensors are actually working I find it hard to just trust STFT/LTFT. I will say, logging the ECU comes naturally to me because it's one of the lowest effort methods of diagnosis and I do similar things in my day job all the time. Staring at 20+ charts looking for something that isn't quite right isn't for everyone. NDS1 allows you to log almost everything so that's normally what I do and then sort out the data later.
