jrm
From what I recall, they're generally something you do at the 100,000km service along with the water pump, timing belt, plugs, etc ... Who knows how many KM your car has been wound back, anyhow? -Jimmy-
Mine have just started leaking too and it's probably done about 80,000kms? I am only going off what the previous owner told me, as the engine was replaced at some stage. I'm thinking of getting my timing belt and cam seals done too, any idea what a mechanic would charge for this kind of labour? I was going to do it all myself but I really am not into working on engines a great deal. -Jimmy-
Update, I actually think my rocker cover seals/gaskets are leaking, not cam seals... Anyone know how I should go about getting these parts? MBS206
Update, I actually think my rocker cover seals/gaskets are leaking, not cam seals... Anyone know how I should go about getting these parts? I know the VRS kit comes with all the seals you need. Including a head gasket, inlet mani and exhaust mani. You could go to Nissan and buy them seperate. Probably cost you $100 or there abouts. VRS kit = $330 from Nissan. mad082
the rocker cover seals leaking on the RB engines seem to be a factory option, same as the leaking power steering pump on 33's. the new seals are easy to get and easy to fit.
