Hey guys

Just trying to get a bit of an idea on what suppliers/companys people can recommend when it comes to buying their choice of brand when it comes to quality fittings for breather hoses and other misc bits.

There appears to be a wealth of different suppliers and brand names out there. Just interested to know peoples opinions and dealings. Who do you recommend?

Also what size hose/fittings should be used for general breather setups (i.e to catch can and back into intake. etc)

Reason being I have previously used 1/2 braided line for my catch can and after looking in a russell brochure at Autobarn it appears to be a fairly uncommon size in terms of fitting availability.

Cheers. Luke

depends on what you want to spend......but speedflow are the better quality fitting.

Motorsport connections or Hardimans as well as revolution race gear can supply.

Breather cans usually require -10an or -12an fittings and hose.

Rocket industries carry earls, and are a good cheaper alternative and in most cases will do the job.

Hey guys. To save opening a new thread I might as well update this.

I have the fittings I need. Just wondering if anyone has any tips to getting the braided line to actually fit inside the red nut on the fittings. So close to getting it but there must be an easier way!!! Any ideas what I could use to compress the pipe enough to slip it through.

Cheers. Luke

Bump guys.

Any installation tips at all? These are driving me insane. Managed to get the hose in the red ring using rubber bands to compress the hose. But whilst doing it up, the nut would tighten but just push the hose out instead of locking it in place.

Any help would be great.

Luke

The method I use is; tape the hose where it is to cut, lock it in a vice and cut using a dremmel, clean the hose with compressed air, feed the start of the hose into the end, turn the fitting up-side down and bang on a soft cloth on a hard surface unitl is seats correctly, put the fitting into a vice with a cloth around it to protect the finish, apply some thread lubricant and attach the other half.

Check out the earls website/catalogue and there is an installation guide.

If anyone needs Earls products let me know as I can offer your 35% off RRP ;)
