ecu reset for 200sx??

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the ecu in the s14 series II (2000 model) can be reset like the skyline ecu's????

I had heard somewhere that they are similar comps??? Just wondering as a mates 200sx has a little flat spot in the mid rev range and perhaps a reset may help...

Yeah just pull the negative lead from the battery and then stab the brake pedal for a coupla seconds and its done...

yeah i have done it to my car but we just wanted confirmation if the s14 ecu's can also be reset...

you can tell when the car starts up... if its all rough then goes smooth, its been reset.

Course it can be reset.

It will revert to factory base settings, which means it will run slightly more advanced timing and run a tad rich.

The 'flat' spot wont be cured with an ecu reset, as it will eventually go back to this initial setting.

Check plugs, timing etc if he has a flatspot.
