Some idiot rolled back into the garage door behind which I keep my car, and stoved in the door (usual metal flip up type), pushing it back at the bottom and smashing my plate, bending the bracket, and making an indentation, from bumper down to spoiler lip.

luckily I rent the garage from an ex cop, who tracked them down, & threatened them with the possibility of getting charged with "leaving the scene of an accident".

called them up today and told them I would be getting a quote I'd be expecting them to pay, and they start telling me about lumps their doc has found in their tits. You can't make this stuff up!

I hate owning a car in sydney sometimes. You can't even be sure it is safe when it is tucked away.

That sucks! I feel your pain.

Lucky indeed. Most normal civilians arent that luckly, and to have a cop with a "vested interest" in solving the matter has worked in your favour. Without the police getting actively involved the average civilian hasnt got a chance at getting a fair result.

I had a situation like this about a year ago. A mates RX3 was backed into by a B-double truck that was reversing down the road near his work. We actually got the incident recorded on low grade survelance video. It was enough to ID the truck and track down the driver.

Despite there being traded paint on his truck and video evidance the truck had been on the road, as well as an admission from the owner/driver (to me and my mate) he managed to get away scott free. The truck was actually not registered and had no insurance, and the driver/owner wasnt allowed to drive because of surgery due to a heart condition. So armed with this information the police did absolutely NOTHING! That incident still gets me going.

ask for a feel of their breasts for said lumps, then give them the bill for damages.

even if they don't pay you for the damages, at least you'd have the benefit of free boob.

this thread needs more bewbs.

before getting all stroppy investigate how decent looking this woman is then make a decision based on that.. only logical thing to do in this situation.

oh and pics or ban

Telling you the boob sob story is just weird, what did she expect you to say? oh ok forget about it then

I had a similar thing happen in our work car park - not a big car park just a small row actually on our premises, down the side of our building... this guy came in late and hungover and i was parked next to a 4WD and he just swung around into the spot next to it thinking it was empty

It took him 4 hours to come and admit what he'd done :D

but yeah.. you always expect the bad shit to happen out on the roads! The above incident was the only time I've ever had to claim on my insurance and it happened in the pissy little work carpark that fits like 8 cars and you're *usually* going at walking pace lol!

the only line I remember is "Why would you bring a knife to a gun-fight?"

That's a good one too.

The one I quoted was from the B&W TV version played by Robert Stack - shows how ancient i am

+1 for getting some boob

This chick hit your car and garage, still didnt care about fessing up to their mistake and left you high and dry.. f**k em, make them pay and then get copper to lay charges of leaving an accident, so many wankers do it

That's an incredibly stupid thing to say. Do you actually know what happens if he admits liability? Obviously not.

I think we established it in a previous thread that I do...

Unless it is in writing it doesn't mean anything.

lol... the dude is in insurance mang.... and he just said to lodge a claim, not to admit fault

you're all assuming it's a chick. what if it's a fat bloke, with b1tch tits, with lumps in them, and possibly chaffing under the boob, where the sweat and hair combines to cause heat and friction?

do you still want to feel a boob? do ya!!!?

similar thing happened to me at work a few years ago... as my pristine black ss ute was for sale, i started to park it out the front of my work for advertising purposes.... some chick turning out of a driveway, spilled her coke and automatically reached for it, swerving into the side of the ute.. i had just left my desk from where i had a clear view of the car to visit the vending machine when i heard it... i didnt pay attention thinking it wasnt mine... but walking back to my desk i saw the damage... i was fuming!!! there was no note, no phone number, no witnesses (it was right next to a woolworths carpark and yet noone saw it) my phone number was on the window, so anyone could have rang me and told me... but nup... not a sound.. 4 hrs later i get a call from her friend saying how she was sorry and drove off because she freaked out at seeing how immaculate the car she just hit was..

to add more to the story, she had just moved to nsw, so her insurance wasnt sorted yet... she thought she had paid it, her insurance said no she hasnt paid it, went on for a bit while my ute was getting repaired... thankfully her insurance came through as they dated the accident to just after the money cleared somehow.

my excess was nearly $1000 so i couldnt afford to make a claim, the repairs came to $3000 so i couldnt afford to repair it.. thank christ her iinsurance came through...

highly recommend marty's smash repairs in wickham, they did a sick job on the ute and you couldnt tell a thing.

Wouldn't have mattered if her insurance didn't come through if you had full comprehensive as you would put in the claim but not have to pay excess they would fix your car then go after hunting after her for the money

The fellows that posted below me have wisdom:

The liability is clearly NAF (Not At Fault) as his vehicle was parked and unattended. The Thirdy Party is 100% At Fault... as long as you have their rego, name and address his insurer (provided its a good one :) ) will Waive his Excess. This means:

1. He does not need to give 2 shts about the Third Party and what they do or dont do (all insurers will offer payments plans for their demands)

2. His car is fixed

3. ???

4. Profit!
