Hi Jai,

If you want the factory item, a genuine Nissan filter will work fine. But if you're after a higher flowing filter, I have genuine Trust GT panel filters in stock. You can check it out from this thread.

Hey jaise7en,

If you are looking for a pod setup APEXI make a excellent bolt on, or if you are looking for a direct replacement get a stainless high flow panel which will last a very long time and will not crumble or collapse like most foam filters

I think the only time you should use K&N cleaner on a APEXI filter is only if it is greasy for what ever reason, Other then that blow it out with a air compressed air.

on a related note, is it ok to use K&N filter cleaner on APEXi etc filters?

K&N are good filters but are oil based which are not AFM friendly. I picked my stainless panel filter up for $80 and will out last the life of the car.

Oil based meaning, K&N want you to spray a thin layer of oil over the filter to catch the smaller partials.

You DON'T have to spray it, they just recommend it.

I use the K&N Cleaner kit to clean my HKS sponge filters.

Spray the cleaning solution, let it soak for 10-20 mins then wash out with water and sun dry.
