Hi Guys

My GT35R is going in my R33 gtst soon and I need bigger injectors.

Should I run nismo 555cc or the 740cc?

is it bad to run bigger injectors then what is needed?

Cheers

Im running a GT3076R with Nismo 740cc injectors.

Its not bad to run bigger injectors then what is needed its just that it will probably eat a bit more fuel. 555cc will be enough but if your planning something big in the future get 740cc

Yeah I was leaning towards the 740cc anyways. Cheers mate. What kind of power are you producing? and where abouts did you get your injectors from?

I dont know where they came from because i got then through a car club that has their own suppliers. Right now im making 280rwkw but plan on more boost (need better boost controller) and hopefully over 300rwkw soon.

Yeah I'll probably get them off nengun. 280 is a nice figure I'm hoping for somewhere between 280 - 300. What boost controller you using? I was going to go the eboost street.

Im using the Blitz Spec S, should have gotten the spec R to say the least lol. Apparently one of the best boost controllers going around atm.

Oh and just for reference. Max injector duty im getting on 740cc injectors and 280rwkw is 60%

Lol I had a similair situation but with my fuel pump. Had a Walbro installed under the impression that they were great from my mechanic only to find out that theyre apparently crap. Oh well we'll see how it holds up.

You running a powerFC? i was thinking of getting nistune but don't know too much about them.

60% is pretty good, the 550's would probably be working overtime with a 35R.

I'm running a GT3076 with 550cc Injectors and its pushing 300kw @ the rears comfortable.

With a GT35 you could easily hit 350-400kw like said above but its up to you how much boost you want to run.

If your running a GT35 you might as well go for 350kw minimum.

True. At the moment i want to see how much power I can get out of the stock internals, manifold etc... Just with bigger injectors an ecu upgrade. When I'm satisfied I'll start boosting it lol.

Trust me you will want more power if you know all you can do is turn the boost up and get 50kw more and still be safe.

I recon you should get the 740cc injectors if your going to go with the GT35, so you have the option of running more boost.

If you said you was getting a GT30 I would of said stick with the 550cc.

:)

I would have gone for a GT30 but my mate was selling the 35R cheap cheap brand new so i took the bargain.

You reckon 300-350 is achievable with a stock RB25?

With a GT35 bolted on a stock RB25, 350kw is easy.

When you say stock, your talking about the RB25 internals right?

Because I have not seen GT35 bolted up to a stock RB25 manifold.

Every GT35 I have seen has been a top mount meaning the manifold has been changed.

I don't think you could even fit that turbo low mount.

I'm talking about internals and manifold. It will fit, it just needs a spacer. I know a few people who have done it.

The only thing restricting me from reaching 350kw is heat generated from the stock manifold and lack of flow. This is why i said i wanted to see how much power I can get before i need to change my manifold etc...

Well then its anyone's guess on what power you will make according to your set up.

The stock manifold is very restrictive once your around the 280kw mark.

Let us know how much power you make with the 35 bolted on the stock manifold.

Will be intresting :)

This guy in this THREAD did something similair to what I'm doing.

I'll post up my results once it's all done HERE

cheers

300-350 will kill your stock rb25 very quickly. That's why I'm running the safe 280rwkw ATM. Flow is a problem with the standard manifold that's why anything over 300 will be hard to make. I've had my manifold ported to gasket size. To answer you previous question I'm running a powerfc. Also if you haven't done so look into gettig a cam gear. Helps with response nicely

That's simple, 280-300rwkw.

Plenty of people have been there and done it. I see no point in you trying to do something that's already done and proven time and time over.

You can make more than 300rwkw, however your motor will not hold together forever. Pointless excecise really.

If you have a stock motor, a GT35 is far to big. Get a proper sized turbo, a GT3076, and have a decent/responsive setup.

As opposed to one that will be laggy for the power you will make.
