Yeah, agreed on that part. I have been dealing with d'mitry too, and i found him a bit standoff-ish at first. But could tell he was a used car salesman straight away. " To be honest i dont think this car will hang around for long. There has been 5 people look at it already." haha

But, At the moment taking him for face value, so hopefully it all goes ahead with the purchase of a nice, good condition stagea.

Do you have the VIN?

Try this:

You will need to put "6U90000" on the front for it to work (if its not already there). You only need the VIN or plate number, not both. Apparently the 6U90000 may change from time to time so if that doesn't work maybe someone else who has recently imported a stagea can help...

Once the compliance plate is done your car's details should come up.

.................In other news. I have put down a deposit on another stagea, which arrived in the country two days ago apparently. It is located at Nagoya motors..http://www.nagoyamotors.com.au/zoom.php?id=905. I have got an inspection set down for Monday were some guys will be giving it the once over. If anybody on the forum who lives near by could check it out for me and let me know off any minor issues, that too would be most appreciated.

Hopefully within the next two- three weeks I'll once again have a stagea sitting in my garage. It was too hard to say goodbye to such a practical and comfortable car so soon after importing one.

I have actually been trying to purchase this car, as i do have the deposit on it and all. First off though i was told it was complied, had it inspected and thus found out it wasnt. Which peev's me off just a tad. Second off all, ive asked on Three seperate occasions for him to get in contact with me regarding various details and specifics....To no avail. The fourth time today, he said he would make a phone call and call me right back, No return call. I Personally do not know what i should do about it at this stage. He seems unwilling to negotiate on price and Unuasal enough for a salesman ( of any type) will not get in contact with me. To be honest, Have not really been to happy with the service they are offering.

Hmm Anyways, Deposit ends this thursday, so will let you know how i go.

this seems to be the same crap i'm going thru with Nagoya Motors. I was told that my Stagea was stock and complianced, put my deposit down, got car inspected, all okay..ish. ring D'mitri, try to purchase vehicle and organise shipping to Adelaide only to be told, 2 weeks to get the car complied....WTF!!! I spoke to him today - 1.5 weeks after inspection and i'm told they are having trouble complying my Stag because of the aftermarket mods????

I am also having trouble discussing price.. the car was listed at $14900(where i saw it first) on one site and $15900 on another. but of course D'mitri doesn't understand and therefore i just have to pay the higher price. also on the ad it states free delivery aus wide and free 12 months rego, now i am told that i get free delivery & 3 months rego.

it's just getting way to hard to argue with this dude. If the car wasn't blue, and the exact model we wanted i think i would have asked for my deposit back already. but unfortunately my wife has her mind set on this one, which means i have no choice....

The problem is,2 company's merged (Nagoya motors and Japanese auto something...) i rang up about the car when the merger was taking place. hence the car was advertised cheaper on the jap auto site and more expensive at Nagoya. because i'm technically buying the car from Nagoya he doesn't seem to care. And to be honest in the beginning i thought I'll just pay the extra cash and make a sure i get looked after really well, ie new brake pads, stock airbox(remove pod filter), fix any small issues, new tyres,etc. but now i'm just pissed off and i want my car.......there's a Stagea cruise coming up and I really want to go!!!!!

Oh god. All these things you guys have mentioned, im experiencing exactly the same. It's the first dealer i have ever come across who wouldn't negotiate on price. I argued the 3 month rego deal aswell as im in qld. It does however say somewhere on the site, 12 months rego OR free delivaray and 3 months rego australia wide. Thing is however he wouldnt even lower the price down due to the fact the car is being shipped at a cost. Makes sense ( i guess).

But when i mentioned things such as the bad touch up paint jobs, he pretended like he didnt know what i was talking about. And if you have seen or seen any pictures of the car, then youll know you cannot miss them. He also has stated he fixed up the rust issue. Which i highly doubt.

I could really go on all night but i cannot be botherd. All i can say is this car better be what he say it is and not a dud becuase ill more then happily fly on down to give him a mouthful.

I did buy mine and transferrd the money last night. He said the car was ready for deliverary today, so if the money did go through today, will be leaving nagoya early tommorow.

let me know how you go. i'm actually going to sydney at the end of march. I'm driving the new Stag over there, so if there is any issues...(and the car actually gets there) i'll be having a quiet word and getting it sorted out.

if anyone is in the area towards the end of the week, could they please call into Nagoya and get some pics for me please, once the car is complianced and ready to ship that is. hopefully it will be done by friday. i just want some pics before it gets loaded on the truck in case of damage. because i'm pretty sure Nagoya won't help out if i need it.

Sucks about the troubles you guys are having, first time I have heard about Nagoya doing stuff like this.

Yeah, I doubt he has fixed the rust Stagman, could have just put touchup paint over it and is hoping you dont notice.

Haha yep i think so aswell. Luckily i have some photo's of close inspection. And I would be more then willing to take of the door cards and send back some more evidence and ask him the quesiton as to why it is not fixed haha. We will see what happens i guess.

has it arrived yet....huh.........how bout now?... at least yours is on the way, mine is still stuck at Nagoya Motors. still having trouble with stupid compliancing.

p.s if you post pics of you and your new stag before mine has even left NSW i won't be Happy!!!
