Cant see how it would make a difference to access

not the one looking at it in the metal though so hard to say

as long as you are using bolts of the same or at least very similar grade

cant see how it would hurt as they should stretch and react to heat the same

that said cant tell you what grade they are

In theory, if they are as tight, they should be as sturdy, possibly even stronger than stud + nut combo.

Just make sure they are of the same grade or better, and that they screw the same if not further into the head as the studs. IFAIK, most manifold studs screw 10-20mm into the head, so as long as your bolt does the same, it should be fine. Make sure to be liberal with loctite, to be extra careful...

Studs give you more clamping force on the surface, due to their design and stretch.

For an exhaust manifold, bolts or studs will do. Sometimes I use bolts on custom manifolds as the studs get in the way.

Use a good quality bolt with copper grease or anti seize heat resistant grease to ensure that the head threads are kept in order when removing in the future.
