hey i'm just wondering i've gone with the solid lifters, type b valve springs and 10.25mm lift cams form my head and 1mm over sized valves, do i need shims for the lifters or not.. the place machining the head and doin the portin recons i don't but i've heard other wise

yes...shims required. Are they suggesting the buckets should actuate directly on the retainers??

X 2. How are they proposing you set the valve lash without shims?

Noel some of the bodgy sh1t that we have been sent lately to try and fix would make you cry.

Terry my head guy has tossed RB heads straight in the skip bin people have bought for $3500+ expecting us to bolt it to a bottom end we have done for them. We now strip and rebuild every head as its not worth risking our reputation bolting on someone elses rubbish.
